🏀💙 Welcome to the Trojans, Jordan Houchins! 💙🏀

ACM Men's Basketball is excited to announce the commitment of Jordan Houchins, a talented wing from Upper Marlboro, Maryland and Clinton Grace Christian School.

Jordan brings versatility, athleticism, and a strong work ethic to the blue and green as he continues his academic and athletic journey at Allegany College of Maryland. He plans to major in Finance while competing for the Trojans.

We can't wait to see Jordan make his mark at ACM and help continue building the future of Trojan Basketball!

Welcome to the family, Jordan! 🔥🏀

Each year we take time out for Black History Month to discuss ourselves, our history (and thus, our future) using non-traditional topics. The aim is to expand our overall knowledge of self and we do this by analyzing our current experiences through historical lenses.

This year we addressed the financial status of the Black community by analyzing the black dollar, the phenomenon of sports betting, the historical timeline of black wealth (or lack thereof) Post-Reconstruction to Y2K and the power of compounding interest.

I will be posting clips from our team discussion all week, highlighting the insight, curiosity, emotion and vulnerability expressed through conversation amongst these young men.

As you watch, think about the hidden curriculum you’ve engaged in outside the classroom, or wish you encountered within one. Drop a gem or a question to keep that wealth of knowledge in circulation!
