“And yet, always, we begin again" Thank you @tanyihng for the powerful words from RIAU. it stayed with me and inspired me into action. Stepped into the driver's seat again for SAICO SJSC 2026, and experimented with creating without letting ego, fear, and anxiety take the wheel. Probably overcorrected, but that allowed some things to shift. Uncertainty turned into trust. Stress was replaced by fun and support. Fear gave way to confidence. It was a genuinely good time. Truly, it’s only when we choose to try that we earn the chance to experience real joy (credits Kei Tsukishima). I'm glad that I took this chance, and as I continue this season of rediscovering and reinventing myself, I'll learn to embrace the mess that comes with growth. ----- To SAICO, my heart goes out to you. Thank you for trusting me with this, and for holding the space with me through it all. I'm proud of how we have grown together as a team, and perhaps the next thing we should grow is our resistance to dirty food (cc 8pax food poisoning 🤮). Always happy to create with all of you, and I’ll keep doing it for as long as I still dance. ----- Directed By: Leewah, Lionel, Yi Hng, Yu Siang Choreography By: Zoey Jack Lionel Terrence Deon Leewah Mel Yu Siang Za Joann Yi Hng Hiok Leo Alton Special thanks to Grace and Darwin for audition choreography! 🙏🏼 ----- 📹: @summerjamdancecamp @vibrvncy

Blast from the past at Sec 2 Camp 2008, where 14 y/o me & the rest of DHS's 5th IP batch Class of 2012 spent a few days on St John's Island. It's a monumental moment for us as it marked the 1st time my batch was mixed up across diff classes. It prepared us for 2009, when we were streamed into diff Sec 3 classes, & shifted back from the temporary former Raffles JC campus at Ghim Moh back to the newly upgraded Tanjong Rhu campus. My core memory of this camp was learning how to beatbox for the 1st time from @jayjianz 😆 For those too young to remember, it's also a monumental year for the world: 1st Gen📱 iPhones first reached 🇸🇬 shores after a limited release in US 🇺🇸 & became ubiquitous after... The same year Facebook became popular in SG & I opened my 2nd social media account (my 1st was Friendster, which shut down in 2015)... The same year the global financial meltdown led to Obama being elected as the first African-American President... The same year investors into the S&P500 saw a once-in-a-lifetime -50% drop... The same year Mas Selamat jailbroke out of detention, triggering an islandwide manhunt… The same year many Singaporeans lost their jobs, and the prolonged economic crisis after, amongst other reasons, led to a watershed election in 🇸🇬 GE2011... I came across these pics when @chchchchaihong & I were asked by Ms Tan Kae Ling, HOD @dhs.cshe to search for some of our old photos for the upcoming keynote speech at DHS’s annual Careers Day on 20 May 2026. Apologies for the pixelated pics, I can't remember where I downloaded them from, this was pre-smartphone era, so probably from FB, probably from Mr Yeo Meng Han, whom I remember created the nice blue collage. 🤗 This year marks DHS's 70th anniversary, 2027 is the 15th anniversary since my batch graduated... Hope to see everyone at the upcoming #DHS70 events 🥳 #一日德明人一生德明情 P.S. 双子星 by M'sian singer 光良 @michaelxymusic was chosen as our batch's level song, a tradition during my student days, where every batch of Dunmanians get a song that represents the batch, chosen by the SCs/Year Heads during Sec 1 orientation, and entire batch sings it at milestone events. Wonder if this is still a thing? 😉

🧧过大礼!!🧧 Been really busy prepping for our wedding this past year and it’s only about to get even busier but we’re honestly so blessed to have the amazing support from our family and friends 🥺 Thank you mama @hengsusie for helping me with all the GDL preparation, you are the true superwoman and I couldn’t have done it without you♥️ We floated the idea of having @arielle.wky bake our 喜饼 as we felt it would be much more meaningful than purchasing them and she agreed without hesitation. Honestly it turned out so well (check out last slide), 10/10 amazing bakes, already told her to start a home baking business STAT. @jayjianz Less than a month till you have to share your bed/room/wardrobe with me, I hope u r ready!!! 😝🤪
