Such a fun celebration at Touchstone Gallery last weekend for “unleaving” with some of my very favorite creative women💕 Here with Rosie, Winter 1924 (though she is always with me)

Hey, Everybody…

I’ve written an audio piece called FATA ORGANA.
.
.
.
.
.
Jayna Caylie Kirk (@jaynacaylie) interprets the piece beautifully, and I can’t wait for you to experience her graceful, sensitive performance. The multitalented Jayna also designed the image above…
.
.
.
.
.
Sam Mayer (@alternative_mink) has composed a stunning, vibrant score, imbuing the piece with an emotional resonance, and a psychological tension.
.
.
.
.
.
The story is semi-autobiographical, and attempts to capture the experience of a struggling actor in Philadelphia.
.
.
.
.
.
If you’d like to listen to this piece, you can do so by clicking the link in my bio.
.
.
.
.
.
P.S. Yeah, it’s pretty long, so if you just like, listen to the first minute then fast forward to the end, I get it, no worries.

From The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows…

fata organa

n.

a flash of real emotion glimpsed in someone sitting across the room, idly locked in the middle of some group conversation, their eyes glinting with vulnerability or quiet anticipation or cosmic boredom - as if you could see backstage through a gap in the curtains, watching stagehands holding their ropes at the ready, actors in costume mouthing their lines, fragments of bizarre sets waiting for some other production…
