Sometimes we're too busy admiring people who are obeying the same instructions God has given to us.

Last week, the Lord reminded me of what happened on the 12th of June.
I was on Instagram admiring a creator who had just hosted the second edition of her worship meeting. I was gushing over the pictures she had posted and talking to my sister about how beautiful it was. I was also feeling a little sorry for myself because I wasn't selected to attend. And to be honest, I was expecting her to comfort me. But her response was nowhere near comforting. 🫠 Her words were, "Instead of you to go and start planning your own, you're here, admiring other people's obedience." I instantly went mute.

At the time, it had been two months since the Lord told me to gather people together, and I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that I was supposed to do it. I'd even received the word and theme for the gathering a few weeks earlier: UNBURDEN. But I couldn't quite come to terms with the fact that it was something I could do. It seemed like something other people were capable of, while I watched from the sidelines. But not me.

Well, here we are.
Today makes it three months since I hosted my first worship gathering, UNBURDEN 2026. I pushed past my fears and obeyed the Lord. And I must say, the feeling of making a reality what was once only a vision in my heart is so rewarding. Looking back at these pictures, I can hardly believe it happened. I'm so grateful to God for the privilege. I guess the Lord brought this memory to mind last week because He wanted me to know this: He is proud of me. 🥹

But that's not all. There were so many things the Holy Spirit taught me while I was preparing for UNBURDEN, and I'll be sharing some of them here in the coming days. For the first one, swipe through to read about a conversation with the Holy Spirit that changed my perspective on planning UNBURDEN.
