Doggy Dip is taking over the Pool Club this Sunday, October 4th from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. for one last summer splash, and YES, there will be cocktails, food truck bites and a whole lot of pups!

🐾 $10 = 1 dog + 2 humans 🐾 $5 = each additional dog or human 🐾 100% of entry proceeds benefit the Nebraska Humane Society 🍹 Bloody Marys + Screwdrivers and Food truck bites with partial proceeds benefiting NHS

No reservations required. Just show up, leash up and let your dog live their best pool club life. Entry is first come, first served and based on pool capacity.

And when the pool party’s over? Keep the Sunday Funday going at @jaysblackstone for the official Doggy Dip after party, with cocktails benefiting NHS.

We’re letting our four-legged friends take over the Pool Club for one last summer splash. Join us October 4 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. for an afternoon of swimming for a good cause 🐾

$10 for 1 dog + 2 humans $5 for each additional dog or human 100% of entry proceeds benefit the Nebraska Humane Society.

Bring your pup and come hang! To add to the fun we will be serving Bloody Marys, Screwdrivers, and light bites from our food truck, with partial proceeds benefiting the NHS!

This event is first come first serve, no reservations required. Entry will depend on our pool capacity. All dogs must up-to-date vaccinations and remain leashed until entering the pool. Please enter through the pool gate on the west side (closest to Revival House) of the pool club.

If you want to keep the Sunday Funday going, @jaysblackstone on their dog friendly patio, will be open for the official Doggie Dip after party, featuring cocktails benefitting the NHS!

So many restaurants serve variations of a cheesesteak in Omaha, but most aren’t quite a “traditional” Philly cheesesteak. Well, if that’s what you’re looking for, I think I found your place.

M&M Beef & Steak is a food truck that serves late nights (7PM-2AM) outside Jay’s Beer Garden (3724 Farnam) Thursday-Saturday. And from what I understand, these sandwiches are pretty close to what you’d get in Philadelphia.

Tradition isn’t as important as flavor to me, but this thing is as jam-packed full of flavor as it is authenticity.

What makes it unique in Omaha is the cheese whiz, which is mixed with sliced ribeye and ladled on top. It’s unctuous and rich, melding with the beef to form a salty, savory, gooey mess that’s absolutely delicious. It has a pleasant heat that builds throughout the sandwich. M&M also allows you to add jalapeños, sweet peppers, and sautéed onions, which add some nice spice and sweetness, respectively.

The bread is the key to unlocking the sandwich. It’s a hearty hoagie with soft, chewy inside and a thin crispy shell. It masterfully holds in all the meat and cheese, which is a minor miracle.

M&M only sells two things: cheesesteaks and Italian beefs, so it needs to nail both to have success. I need to go back and try the beef, but I can report the cheesesteak is a roaring success.

And while it might not quite be my favorite sandwich on my Omaha Cheesesteak Hunt, it checks the tradition box like a boss.
