Winning was never supposed to be a solo sport. Before they can carry the dream themselves, there is a village carrying them. Hands that hold them up. Voices that remind them who they are. People who believe before there is anything to prove.

And then one day, you look up and realize the little boy you were protecting is becoming the man you were preparing him to be. 🙏💖🥰

That’s the winning mentality I believe in. We don’t raise our children just to win games. We raise them to know how to work, how to compete, how to lead, how to love people, how to get back up and how to remember the hands that helped lift them there.

Isaac, this is your season. Your work. Your opportunity. Go shine on your own. ✨

Just know there will always be a whole village behind you and your mama will always be your protector. 💖💖💖

Faith. Family. Competition. Purpose.
More than a game. Always.

We’re excited to announce the hiring of Jay Slone as an assistant coach for Westminster Men’s Basketball!

Slone joins Westminster with coaching experience at the Division I, national prep, and AAU levels, bringing a proven track record of developing talent and building winning programs.

Prior to Westminster, Slone served as the National Prep Head Coach at SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio. Over two seasons, he compiled a 57-12 record while leading the program to back-to-back National Prep Championship appearances and Top 10 national finishes.

During the 2025-26 season, SPIRE captured the Elite Prep League Co-Championship and advanced to the Elite Eight of the National Prep Championship. The previous season, Slone led the program to the Ohio Prep Conference Championship and was named Ohio Prep Conference Coach of the Year.

During his time at SPIRE, Slone helped more than 20 student-athletes continue their careers at the collegiate level, including 10 NCAA Division I players.

Before SPIRE, Slone served as head coach at Mount Pisgah Christian School, guiding the program to a Final Four appearance. He also helped launch The Skill Factory National High School program in Atlanta, where the team earned an ESPN High School Top 25 ranking and sent 13 players to the Division I level.

Slone began his collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at Northern Kentucky University, helping the Norse capture a Horizon League Tournament Championship while contributing to scouting, recruiting, analytics, film breakdown, and player development.

In nine years of AAU coaching, Slone has also helped more than 40 players continue their careers at the collegiate level.

A native of Ohio, Slone was a two-year captain at Ashland University, helping lead the Eagles to two NCAA Tournament appearances.

Please join us in welcoming Jay, his wife Jen, and their dog Goose to the Westminster family!

My son Jackson and his teammate Collin Ross formed a talented duo playing AAU for OTP on the Puma Pro 16 circuit and post grad prep SPIRE Academy . I enjoyed watching them grow and play together. In their next chapter they will play against each other in the A10 Jackson will attend Duquense and Collin will attend VCU.
