Here are 5 tips for an awesome photoshoot 📸

1) Find a fitting location for your characters! The more it fits with tbe character the more impressive the pictures will be!

2) Give yourself an action to do in the pictures! By actually performing an action the photo will look less like a posed picture and more like a movie stillframe!

3) Bring multiple props! These help with finding both the actions and it sets up a nice variety of actions to do! The more props, the more a scene can come to life and the location will be more outfitted with those props!

4) Collaborate with your photographer! Make sure you are in the same mindset for the photos so that you are able to elevate each others work! Insteaf of both doing something totally different.

5) Play your actions out! While you can pose an action, actually doing a scene can create for variety and emotions/momevents the shoot would have never captured otherwise!

As you see, most of these tips all enhance each other. That is what a great photoshoot actually is! A collaboration between people, material, knowledge and locations!
What are your tips??

Ever since I decided to do a Jason Todd Robin cosplay last year, I’ve been wanting to do a photoshoot with a Red Hood cosplayer so imagine how ecstatic I was when I met @jayspotsy aka Jason Todd himself last winter Heroes Dutch Comic Con.

The warehouse, the amazing cosplay, and the insane lighting our photographer @blackringmedia set up was so good that for a moment, staring up into the Red Hood helmet, I forgot that I was doing a photoshoot. The experience was so surreal I think I gasped out loud. You would too, if you were me.

Twinkle twinkle little Bat....
Watch me kill your favorite cat 🃏🐈‍⬛

The best part about group shoots is that you are able to create scenes due to the characters connections!! And using those connections can get you way more epic shoots!

●Joker and Catwoman have an established often bad relationship.
●Catwoman's relationship with Batman makes it extra fun for Joker to catch and/or corrupt her!
●Red Hood has a positive connection with Catwoman and could be fighting alongside as they are both anti heros!
●Red Hood's Hatered towards Joker doesn't help either!

If you truly want to elevate your photoshoots you have to understand the relationships between the characters!
It helps to create the scenes and sets a stage that can be telling the most insane stories out there!

What character connections would you like to see in the future?

BTS from the Joker Vs Red Hood shoot!

@jayspotsy needed some work done for the shoot... and as I don't want to really harm her, we decided to use SFX instead!

For the final results it turned out reallt great!

It was supposed to be a photoshoot.

Then Joker and Red Hood got a little too deep into character. 🃏🔨

BTS from a shoot with @jayspotsy and @blackringmedia where we decided to actually play out the scene instead of just posing for it.

The camera kept clicking.
The music kept building.
And then… well.

Cut to black. 😈
