Wanted a sub 70 and top 10, came away with 1:11:50 and 12th place.
Aside from the disappointing personal performance still a lot of positives from the day!
-taking 51 seconds off my PR
-having the best dressed crew in our fully custom @jakroo_official race kit designed by my boy @alec_cowan
- @jaywalrus getting this insane flick of me from the top of the Yates parkade
-hearing so many people yelling my name on the course, especially my parents (4 different times)
- @loganairey_ nailing the BQ with miles to spare in his mara debut

Next lock in starts Monday 🔒

RUN THE PARKADE was over 2 days ago now but it was such a fun event that we can’t stop thinking about it!

On Friday September 25th, teams of runners took to an underground parkade to complete a 4x400m relay race. And it might have been the best running event Victoria has ever seen!

I was lucky enough to stop by for the first half and snap some photos 📸

Had a sick time out in Comox Valley for the @bcgravelseries Forbidden Gravel race. Played my cards right and managed 2nd place in a sprint finish to the line. Surprised myself with that one and super happy to pull it off. Unfortunately no other juniors to battle with, but thanks to the boys for playing nice with the little guy.

Lots more to come, and a good start to my time on the island!

Our Sam Fawcett is proving to be a contender in the world of gravel racing. Sticking with the heavy hitters at Forbidden Gravel, he rolled himself to a 6th place overall finish.

Six wheels behind, our “retired from racing” Uli Mayer finished 12th place overall AND 1st place in his age group.

CONGRATS!! @samfwct @ulimayer96

Last gravel race of the season, so best to go out with a splash 💦

Finished the day 10th which I am super satisfied with, but there’s always room for improvement! I’m excited to come back stronger next year 😈

Listened to @hollyhenrycoaching and tried to stay with the front group for as long as possible. Was happy to be strong enough to hold on until slightly before the big climb and then paced myself nicely for the next 2 hours

Can’t thank @thebikephysio enough for helping me through my knee troubles, which have been doing a lot better with more consistent physio+strengthening AND my bike being properly fit at @docksidephysio (wink wink nudge nudge GET A BIKE FIT!!)

Thanks to all those who make it possible:
@oliviafaetz thx for the car ;)
@alex.hann17 thx for the housing and camaraderie!
