Last weekend we completed principal photography on a story that’s been years in the making. A story that was founded through pain but molded in ambition.

THUNDER is a story for the people who refuse to let go. A story of dreams, of blind ambition, of unbearable grief, and remembering the legacy of the ones closest to us.

Being a director is interesting. At best, you’re a band leader trying to form order out of chaos. I guess that’s what makes film so special. Taking these chaotic elements of life and bringing narrative structure to it that can move people in so many ways. But as a director you’re never the only one behind it. Whether is through good people like Andrew and Beth @studiolotpalmsprings that believe in you from the start or people who walk alongside you like @nati_rosa_ or people who believe in you from the very very start like @ieo318 and @anthonyortizstudios Though this project marks my final short in this weird thing I call my career, I can’t let the moment pass by without thanking the amazing and beautiful cast and crew that I pushed to the brink.

Thank you to them for not only indulging me in this crazy idea but putting their best foot forward in bringing it to life.

As we move into post production, I only hope that my uncle is looking down with pride. That what we captured will be able to move people the way movies should. Let them hear us through this… let them hear our roars.. like THUNDER!

And because I can only add 20 tags, I want to shout out people here that aren’t tagged in the photos: @stickyrice77 @dagniel_mantilla @mutemajesty @waverlythemusician @yessandrew @michael.spiegel7
