A week ago, our December cohort graduated. Stepping into new grad life, I’m left feeling reflective and ultimately grateful for my time here at Mercy and being a part of SNA. From being an active member, to becoming President, I have seen the growth in the organization itself and the members who run it. Thank you for your belief in me to stand as a student leader and for your commitment to partaking in growing the student nursing community here at Mercy. I am especially appreciative of Dr. Beard, our co-advisors, and many other involved faculty and staff who continuously not only supported SNA but encouraged us to keep pushing forward. I am appreciative of the tireless hours cabinet members spent working together to create an elevated student experience through content creation, event planning and community volunteer opportunities. I trust the incoming cabinet and members will continue the core values of community, collaboration, and service. Thank you for giving me a space to grow leadership skills, friendships and be a part of a strong community. I know it will provide the same for many more nursing students to come! I wish you all the best and don’t forget you didn’t come this far JUST to come this far.

With gratitude,
Jazmin Carror
President

This week, the Student Nurses’ Association held a study hall where we connected with fellow nursing students, shared study habits, recommended clinical sites, and discussed our experiences in nursing school. We also exchanged success tips and explored how AI can support our exam preparation—all while enjoying some pizza together. 📚🍕
