Footloose has opened, and I’m still catching my breath.

Casting this one asked more of me than I ever expected. It was hard. I keep returning to something we say in our community agreements at the start of rehearsal: “It’s hard because it’s hard, not because you’re not good.”

I’m deeply proud of the company that came together. Getting to sit in the audience and watch their work meet a room full of people was something special.

Stephen Mear directed and choreographed this production. Somewhere along the way, a collaborator became a friend. That may be the part I’ll carry longest. ♥️

To this company: congratulations. You made all that work look wonderfully easy, which is a fairly rude thing to do. 😋

If you’re in Milwaukee, go see them. Footloose plays @milwrep through November 1. 🪩

“Once more unto the breach my friends, once more!”
Photos by a guy I might have met once or twice before, @wsmclean123

Hey, did you guys hear that I graduated? Because apparently I haven’t heard about. Jeeeeeeez this took me a while to post!

These past 4 years with my cohort are something I will never forget. I have changed in so many ways, all because of the people that I met at Krannert. Illinois Theatre will always be a proud part of my life.

But anyway, sappy stuff aside I was finally prompted to post this, because today’s the day where I made the big, final, proper move to the Chicago area. New life stages and all that. Sooooooo, see you all there!!!!
