Word of the day:

"A Change Is Gonna Come...never give up"

So today 18-02-26 marks exactly 1 year since we were given the go ahead to start a pop up exhibition at the Melville Mansions (old Hobbo Clothing store) to activate 1st Thursdays in Melville. This then lead to the rise and shine of what is now known as The Resource Gallery.

And now the village of Melville has an amazing packaged experienced known as the Melville Art Mile every 1st Thursdays. I'll forever be grateful for this opportunity. Cheers to many more life changing opportunities in the Melville Village.

BIG SHOUT OUT to @jae.veeee for believing in me and allowing me the opportunity to do great and thank you to everyone that contributed and helped to make it happen, especially the artists for continously giving us amazing artworks to exhibit. We are because of you.

Artist Statement:

"Winds Of Change"

This exhibition explores our relationship with transformation, the force that reshapes our lives whether we're ready or not. Like wind, change arrives uninvited, sometimes gentle and sometimes fierce, carrying away what felt permanent and bringing in what we never expected.

The works capture the in-between spaces where we're no longer who we were but not yet who we're becoming. Career shifts that upend routines. Relationships that evolve or end. Personal awakenings that make old beliefs impossible to hold.

These pieces honor both the discomfort of transition and the strength found in learning to bend rather than break.
In our daily lives, we feel these winds constantly.

The exhibition suggests that while we can't control the winds, we can adjust our sails finding power not in resistance but in the courage to dance with uncertainty and trust what emerges.

Soft launch 🐀🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
This was not on my 2025 bingo card but it feels kismet now that we’re here - running an ugly little gay bar in Melville with my sweet baby @wacom_boy

We’re making it official this weekend - we are open from Wednesday to Sunday with our launch party this Friday 29 August, featuring two of my faves on deck to bless this mess.

Come give mom a qiss. I’ll be here x

Thanks to @andrewthedj & Jose & Julia for bringing us on board. 🪩
