Flashback to @birdsbasement a few years ago. The same core group, just with different hair etc. And a slightly rotating cast of wonderful vocalists... Now, @singingformysupper is joined by @mattyheth on the pipes up front. Another 🐦 date imminent! #towerofpower #birdsbasement #melbournemusic #sanfranciscomusic

A little flashback to our promo video from...well, a little while back. You'd be delighted to know, however, that this line-up is still pretty much the same: The ol' @pickpocketfunk rhythm section of @stonecoldstrain @grooveaddicted @whoisthisneilbolandcharacter @jazzroyds on sax, @steveallan8310 on trumpet and rehearsal booking (poor guy), Dave Carter on keys, Andy O'Connell ripping up sax solos like this one, @brettevanssax on sax and sophistication, @singingformysupper on vocals, and introducing @mattyheth on vocals, too. Had to give all the fellas some...Credit. 💵 #towerofpower #melbournemusic #funkband #soulband #livemusicmelbourne

So a big night tonight! Came out of singing retirement for one of my best friends and the twins godfather @ricky_muscat Seriously one of the best talents in this country. If any of my high profile music friends need an act or collabs here or overseas PLEASE consider Ricky; hardworking, reliable, one of the best humans you’d ever meet as well as an amazing vocalist, songwriter and entertainer. A fantastic 10 piece band including @pezlan @justinkennyhall @jazzroyds @robby_sax @adrianmontmusic @troygrech whom most i only met for the first time this week. It was an absolute honor to share a stage with you all and celebrate Ricky’s talent. How lucky are we all to have these musos in our industry. Class acts and talent all the way! Special shout out to @mishfornito and @carla_troiano for making my return to the stage so easy and for new friendships formed. And my little @mikaylaabdo soaring to new heights. So proud! The magical thing about music. It never leaves you. It may have been a long while, but the feelings and places it takes you to emotionally is extremely special. A beautiful audience and so wonderful to catch up with so many past students and their families too, as well as former music colleagues. Wishing Ricky “nothing but love” and success on his trip to New York. Go get em. Big Thanks to @katiewestonmusic @jazzee.jasper for the vids Image ID: Melbourne musicians performing live on stage at a song and showcase launch at @kindredbandroom
