Its the final day of the 2026 World Bank/ IMF Meetings. The week has passed so quickly, and we finished strong. Here’s what we got up to:
#worldbank #imf internationalmonetaryfund

This week we were lucky to make many friends - some staying at the same hotel as us!

Our first bilateral was with @worldbankgroup Board Member Rob Nicholl, and his Advisor Ben Power. Thank you both for being so generous with your time!

Our second bilateral was with Australian Treasury’s G20 and APEC Director, Joseph Walters - who was also incredibly generous with his time after a busy week!

An all women led panel! This was a great session to have on the final day.

We heard a keynote presentation from the Japanese delegation on Japan’s progress in the health sector and also its aspirations for helping Thailand develop their heathcare.

@the_imf made it possible to chat to some of their experts today - this session was on the difficulty of quantifying the AI impact the IMF’s tools that are being used to measure economic changes.

And just like that, the week is over. It went incredibly fast - but we are so grateful for the opportunity to listen and contribute to the international economic order. Stay tuned for our upcoming thought pieces on this year’s meetings, as well as our final policy proposals👀 Team IMF/WB 26, over and out💙🇦🇺🇹🇭🇦🇺🇹🇭
