God has recently blessed me with a beautiful new community—one that continues to grow with every visit. 🖤🖤

And last night, I was graced with the presence of KALOKI, an incredible Kenyan artist whose work is currently featured at the Obama Center. His piece is hanging in my friend’s home, and the moment I saw it, it literally took my breath away. It’s so dynamic, dimensional, powerful, and alive.

So, of course, I had to fangirl! I took pictures with him and our friends, and naturally, I had to hop in for one of my own. 📸✨

There is something so important about celebrating artists and acknowledging their brilliance while we are still blessed to have them among us. Their work, their vision, their stories, and their presence deserve to be seen and celebrated.
KALOKI, it was such a pleasure meeting you, breaking bread, sharing libations, and having such a beautiful conversation about love, family, and life. I’m grateful our paths crossed.

Wishing you continued success and expansion. May your work continue to move people, open hearts, and inspire the world.

Everyone—follow, support, share, and celebrate artists while they’re here! @kalokinyamaistudio

When you are at a party and an accomplished singer requests a key! Me trying to remember the song and not messing up for her, she is Sarah Parnicky. I’m blessed to meet beautiful people, gifted musicians and wonderful singers. (Location: Amy Tan’s SoHo loft honoring the great poet and publisher, Daniel Halpern - video by Sing Lee Lathan).

Last week, at the Recording Academy Honors GRAMMY week, there was a first for me! I was in the presence of the honorable chief Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, thanks to @monascottyoung , we got a pic! I almost fainted. To breathe the same air as the chief justice, gave me tremors & chills of awe. It was an evening of First for Eve too, she received her long overdue Grammy! Pharrell William, Brandy and Kirk Franklin were celebrated and honored! This event ought to be live streamed or televised, the night ended and no one wanted to leave! Congratulations to all those who change our lives with their life giving music. A precious, exciting, moving evening. Thank you @harveymasonjr for evolving vision. Thank you @j_ivy for your extraordinary work with the BMC and for the loving shoutout to my Stan. His smile on the last video of this post says it all.🙌🏽❤️🙌🏾❤️🙌🏾 @blackvotersmtr @whenweallvote @fonkoze 🇭🇹 @haitiimmigrationproject @haitianbridge @haitianspotlight.la @haitianladiesnetwork 🌎🇭🇹
