i’m breaking up with vimeo … kinda.

I’ll be re-releasing some of my work on this new platform called youtube.
Seems like a decent place for people to, you know, watch videos.

Jokes aside — I’ve been a Vimeo supporter for years. I loved the community it built in its early days, and it’s still great for certain things. But as times change, I want people to have easier access to the films I make. YouTube (ugly ads and all) just makes sense.

I’m not becoming a YouTuber just yet lol — I just want these little films I’ve made over the years to live somewhere people can stumble on them. Something slower, calmer, and maybe a bit meditative in the middle of all the noise.

The first one up is one of my favorite projects: “BILL BLAINE — A WALK AROUND THE HOUSE.”
...and the only staff pick i've ever gotten.

This one keeps revealing new things every time I sit down to watch. Hope you enjoy, hope its easy to find ... I dont know the yotube science but maybe just search all the key words and it should come up... links in bio, stories all that

Oh… and there’s a pretty awesome story behind the console shown in this picture too 😜:
“The Venn Diagram of Audio Engineers and Star Wars fans is pretty much just a circle. So, when this 32 channel Neve console originally purchased by George Lucas for Skywalker Ranch came up for sale, Sonicboost Studio jumped at the chance. The console began its life in the auditorium in Building C at Skywalker Ranch mixing for films such as The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, early Indiana Jones films and a long list of others. The console was instrumental as Tom Holman developed the THX standard for theater sound excellence. When it was retired from duty at Lucas Film, it was purchased by Bill Ham for use in the Hamstein writing studio. There it was converted back to a stereo studio console and was used to record music from 1996-2021. The console came to Sonicboost in excellent repair having been maintained by David Hough during its years back in Austin and was commissioned earlier this year here by Louis at 81series.com. Sonicboost Studio plans to continue to make music with the console for many years to come.”
