What an incredible weekend at Smyrna’s first-ever live mural painting event, Brush & Box Fest!

Village Green Park transformed into an open-air art studio as 20 talented Metro Atlanta artists created murals in real time. It was exciting to see so many families and community members stop by to watch the creative process unfold, chat with the artists, and experience public art in a unique and interactive way.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special event. If you weren’t able to make it, the murals will remain on display throughout downtown Smyrna all summer long, so be sure to stop by and enjoy them!

So lucky I got to see these awesome muralists do their magic in Village Green Park in Smyrna, Georgia. It was an honor to capture their energy and watch their process. Thank you for all the kind conversations. It was a total of around 20 awesome individuals, and of course I got their signatures because the sketches wouldn’t feel complete without them!

If you spot someone you recognize that isn’t tagged plz dm me so I can add them

I feel most like myself this time of year. Clear. Open. Beautiful in a way that isn’t about appearance, but presence.

Spring has always felt like a quiet reset for me. Like the world exhales, and somehow I remember how to do the same. As a kid, I didn’t have the words for it—I just knew I wanted to be outside. Allergies, runny nose, itchy eyes… but none of it mattered. I’d still choose the sun on my skin, the smell of the air shifting, the way everything felt like it was becoming something new.

That feeling never really left. It just grew with me.

“Fertile Ground” came together in that same spirit. Something rooted in growth, softness, and change. In the kind of solitude that isn’t lonely, but clarifying. The kind that lets you hear yourself again. And every artist in this show holds a piece of that energy.

Curating this felt like tending to something living. Letting it breathe, letting it find its rhythm. Trusting what wanted to bloom.

I would love for you to step into that with me 🌱

Come experience “Fertile Ground “ at @ninabaldwingallery through May 5th!
