nostalgia is a blend of happiness and sadness

it can make us appreciate our lives, cry for moments that we’ll never get back, laugh at memories, and acknowledge the wonderful, horrible ridiculousness of life

maybe it’s a reminder to appreciate the past and take the beautiful bits with you, while spending ample time living in the moment, so when future-you gets nostalgic (and possibly anxious), they can be reassured that you really lived in those moments gone by

looking at you future billy.

I know to love myself because God loved me first know to love others because I know how to love myself and know how to sacrifice because of Jesus. I want to step and roll in this freedom I feel when I skate and remember that we are all one in love. This picture really captures that and I’m so grateful for every moment I feel that love that saturates everything and empowers me to love and serve my community with power compassion and creativity 🌈💖 cheers to more adventures and to the awfully big adventure it is to love. 2020 und alles ist plötzlich anders - wie sieht die neue Normalität aus? 20 Fotograf*innen des International Center of Photography (ICP), New York, und Fotograf*innen der Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie (OKS), Berlin, produziert und editiert von der OKS Klasse Bildredaktion 2020/21, zeigen uns in 2020 Edited, bestehend aus einer Website, einem Film und einem Buchprojekt, wie sie das Leben während der Pandemie wahrnehmen. Entstanden ist ein wertvolles Dokument einer sonderbaren Zeit: besondere, intime Momente des alltäglichen Lebens aus unterschiedlichen Teilen der Welt. 10 Bilder aus diesem Projekt siehst Du hier, die auf ganz unterschiedliche Art und Weise das Jahr 2020 widerspiegeln.

La fotógrafa mexicana que ha tomado las calles de N.Y. 🔥📸 @jbtph

🔜 Después de vivir toda su vida en México y vivir las injusticias que se generan en torno al género femenino, Jordana Bermúdez ha virado su carrera de fotógrafa profesional para darle voz a ciertas minorías. Ella lucha por los derechos de personas que se identifican a sí mismas como mujeres, no binaries, a la comunidad LGBTIQ+. Así como desmantelar los roles de género tradicionalistas. A través de sus proyectos llenos de pasión y ambición artística excepcional ha sido capaz de crear y diseñar planes de trabajo que no solo apuntan a ser visiblemente bellos, si no a llevar al público a cuestionarse, así como invitarlos a la reflexión en torno a dichas problemáticas.

This past weekend, I had an amazing opportunity to be apart of the 33rd Eddie Adams Workshop, and the first ever Virtual Eddie Adams. This workshop going online this year presented itself with so many more challenges, but it made it that much more rewarding, and fun.
.
From the speakers and the stories we learned, to the late night conversations and break out rooms, every aspect of this was just incredible.
.
I just wanted to give a giant thanks to everyone on the Mint team for just being so awesome, especially our team leaders for giving us so much advice and guidance throughout this. Getting to know you all and hear your stories was amazing and I'll never forget it.
.
I want to give an even bigger thanks to the black team, Eddie and Alyssa Adams, and everyone involved in welcoming us into the Eddie Adams family. I truly can not wait to show you all the work our new family has put into this.

Fui convidada para participar de um projeto fotográfico internacional da @laschicaz em que mulheres que praticam esportes de roda posaram para a @jbtph uma fotógrafa de Nova Iorque. O ensaio aconteceu pelo facetime e foi uma experiência super diferente estar sendo guiada por uma ligação e ter as imagens clicadas pelo Facetime. Quase derrubei meu celular mandando o slide 😂. É transformador mantermos conectados independente da distância e usar a internet ao nosso favor. #girlsonbord #skatergirls #skatergirlsunite
