MRT 2025 was my debut trail race and also my first ultra and I enjoyed myself SOOO much last year that this year I thought I’ll give myself a little challenge - a sub 9.

Running has never been my forte, in fact I HATED running. In 2024 Oct when I first took up this challenge, even pace 7:30-8 was a zone 4 for me. Can’t believe I’m now collecting medals from races.

Grateful to everyone whom I’ve met on the trail and the little words of encouragement along the way. This 9th place would not have been possible if I ran alone all the way 😭

To everyone who is considering a trail race debut, I highly recommend MRT!!! Featuring a relatively flat terrain, amazing views, very unique experiences - venturing into caves and 2-3KM of river crossing!

Till then, I think I’m done with Merapoh at least for now. Cos the journey to and fro from Singapore is just very tiring 😭🤧

27-28 Jan 2026 台湾玉山主峰

第二天（排云山庄 > 玉山主峰）

2am起床去拍星空
结果天空一片雾😩 啥也看不到
昨晚没夕阳今早没星空
当时我的心比外面还凉

大概310am吃早餐
4am开始攻顶

619am终于抵达山顶
风超级大！当时依然还是雾气弥漫看不到远处风景
630am天空渐渐变亮
雾气开始一点点消散
橘色的阳光照亮整个山顶！
可是不懂为啥我连一张日出照片都没有拍到😑
不过这不重要
至少双眼见证了当时的美
我今年第一个日出云海！

这次玉山二刷
终于弥补了上一次的遗憾
两次带给我不同的景色和体验感
去年的雪季玉山
和今年的山顶日出云海
