From Coach DeLavan: One of the hardest parts of coaching is saying goodbye. To our Sumter P15 seniors, thank you for making my first year as a coach one I’ll never forget. You made every practice, every game, every bus ride, and every moment worth it. Coaching you guys wasn’t just fun; it was an honor. What’s special is that with some of you, our journey started long before I became your coach. We shared the field as teammates, and now I’ve had the privilege of watching you grow into leaders and young men. Seeing that transition has meant more to me than you’ll ever know. As you move on to the next chapter, remember that baseball is only part of your story. The game will teach you lessons and open doors, but your character, work ethic, and the way you treat people will determine the man you become. Now it’s your turn to write your own story. Chase your dreams, embrace every opportunity, and never forget where you came from. I’ll always be there for you guys and I’m only one call away. I am and will always be proud of you guys not just for what you have accomplished between the lines, but for the life you build beyond them. Love you guys.
