This isn’t a diet to follow.
And it’s certainly not another miracle solution.

It’s an experience designed to help you pause, take a fresh look at your eating habits, and reconnect with your body’s signals.

For 5 days, you’ll follow a structured eating protocol inspired by the Fasting Mimicking Diet (FMD), developed by researcher Valter Longo.

The goal is to explore some of the mechanisms associated with fasting while continuing to eat, within a structured and guided framework.
But the experience goes beyond what’s on your plate.

It also incorporates meditation, breathing exercises, and mindfulness practices to help you tune in to your physical state, stress levels, hunger, energy, and the different signals your body sends you.

An approach at the intersection of science and self-awareness
This experience draws on current research in metabolic science and functional nutrition, while placing a strong emphasis on observation and body awareness.

Reduced pricing available until October 26.
We begin November 4!

“Rock and Roll” in Taioha’e! Taioha’e Bay can be really “swelly” at times and “Good Hook” may really “roll” at anchor but tonight we were REALLY “rocking”!!! Jamming with the locals at the Ocean Posse Pig Roast on Nuku Hiva. Just another day in paradise!

Another day in paradise and living the Nordhavn Dream! And it just keeps getting better. The good captain and crew of “Good Hook” had another absolutely amazing adventure, this time visiting the valleys of Taipivai, Hatiheu, Aakappa and Hooumi with stops at a number of breathtaking viewpoints and archaeological sites. The scenery was incredibly stunning: grand volcanic mountains draped in robes of vibrant greens and yellows, trimmed with fine gossamer ribbons of white from cascading waterfalls that flowed to the sapphire blue sea below. Our guide, Tehina, a 40th generation Marquesan, was very knowledgeable about the geography, local history, indigenous wildlife, and the island’s warm and welcoming residents. She was a treasure, with a personality as beautiful as the spectacular scenery.

We stopped for a delightful lunch at Tehina’s late Grandmothers restaurant, Chez Yvonne, in Hatiheu. The food! The food! The food! Did I mention the food? The “Poulpe Coco au Curry” (Octopus in coconut curry sauce, served with fried breadfruit, taro and rice) was by far the BEST Octopus I have EVER had, melt in your mouth tender, delicate flavour, and truly an epicurean delight. The portions were as big as the island itself, perhaps intentionally so that the owners could feed the leftovers to the sacred Blue-Eyed Eel population living in the creek next to Chez Yvonne, providing unique after-dinner entertainment for the patrons. Such fun!

Afterwards we enjoyed a leisurely stroll through Hatiheu, walking along the only road, beside a perfect beach, both empty except for the crew of “Good Hook”, all while savouring the sweetest hand picked mangoes on earth. We then visited the picturesque Église des Sacrés-Coeurs (Sacred Hearts Roman Catholic Church). So peaceful, so serene, so soul stirring. All too soon we climbed back aboard our four-by-four pickup and continued on to our next amazing destination. Before we knew it, the day was gone, but what an incredible day it had been. So looking forward to what new adventures the next day will hold! Until then we will continue “Living the Nordhavn Dream”.

From our family to yours, warmest wishes for a wonderful Christmas✨🎄🎅🏼
We feel grateful to have spent the day surrounded by loved ones and hope you did too 🥰. Our festivities began with a lovely breakfast and gift exchange at our dad and stepmom's house, followed by a long nap for Leia and a relaxing hot tub session at Paige’s for us while the turkey baked to perfection 🦃
Our parents came over to Paige’s for our big family dinner which sent us all into turkey coma…. 😴
A few more family dinners for us to come this holiday season!
(Swipe to see Mick take down a massive turkey leg 🍗)

Did you know that the pathogetic ("bad guy")oral bacteria P. gingivalis is associated with Alzheimer's disease? Which may generate a low grade inflammation...which could be a cause of amyloid plaques. A way the body protects itself from assault.

Community is a word that truly captures our cruising experience, especially over the past week. A few highlights include: Venturing to a cabin in the Octopus Islands where boat names decorate the walls (it was fun finding the names of our Nordhavn friends and adding our own driftwood mementos to the collection). Enjoying a night out at Blind Channel's Cedar Post Restaurant and hiking to see a massive 800-year-old cedar tree. Joining the family-style potluck hosted on the dock at Lagoon Cove. Reconnecting with friends on Dagny N47 (we first met in Alaska last year) and Truly N40 (we first met in Mexico two years ago) while in Port McNeill. Meeting the crew of Skookum N40 and exploring Bull Harbor... our boat dogs Ranger and Reef loved the beach walk, and we all enjoyed a night of food and laughter aboard Good Hook. #nordhavnlife #nordhavn
