Thank you to the Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine for inviting me and my good and crazy friends to open your sold-out gala on Tuesday night! I had so much fun putting together this incredible quartet of Company alums to sing from the show, to kick off an incredible night of music, celebrating the remarkable work that LACMM does in the field of music therapy. Thanks to Amy Justman, my castmate from Company’s previous revival (you know, the one with the instruments) and Jessie Bailey and Jeff Williams, my castmates from Company at Geva a few years back (Jessie was also in the recent Company tour!) and frequent Sondheim Unplugged pianist John Fischer. It felt so good to sing this music again with you, especially for such a great cause.
I can now say that I opened for music legends Marshall Crenshaw and the evening’s honoree, Suzanne Vega! Now that’s being alive!

Vulnerable post time. I don’t even know where to begin, I feel so lucky and honored that I got to SING in NEW YORK CITY alongside 9 insanely talented women!! WHAT?! I cold emailed Mary not thinking anything of it and from the get go she had so much belief for a person she didn’t even know. We cried, we laughed, we danced, we singed ! There was so much love in the room I’ve genuinely never felt anything like this before. I put this dream away for such a long time because I didn’t think I was enough but Mary and my teacher Molly pulled it out of the depths of me. It’s time to stop judging others but rather lift each other up and enjoy the world around us with the little time we have. I’m doing this for the little girl who used to cry in her room who thought something like this would never be possible. I have so much work and growth to do but this time I’m not giving up. Thank you Mary for inviting me to be apart of this experience, something in me healed that day and for that I will forever be grateful. My sensitivity is my gift. You are enough, you are so enough, it is unbelievable how enough you are 💗 @marysetrakian

I wouldn’t be here without @mollykaymason thank you for being an amazing teacher and mentor I owe so much to you, thank you for never giving up on me 🥹💗💗

And thank you @jd.fisch you are so amazing on the piano thank you for lifting my spirits, hope your fingers aren’t too sore 😂💕

Young hearts beat free tonight…
We had the best time spending the weekend with rock legend Carmine Appicce and Steve Johnston performing with Maestro Thomas Wilson and the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. What a kick! It was great adding Sir Rod Stewart to the “Music of the Knights” lineup and really wonderful making new friends and seeing old. Huge thanks to Lynn Holladay and Nathan Newbrough for inviting us to open the pops season of the CSPhil’s 100th season. Congratulations to all who make the Philharmonic such a fantastic experience. Here’s to your next 100 seasons. #Forever Young

I have known Scott Coulter for a very long time - ever since we played “Scott” and “Kelli” in Marcy & Zina’s “Dear Edwina” a couple decades ago. I have been lucky enough to share stages with him all around the country, and to be the grateful recipient of so many opportunities he’s provided for me and countless others. I’ve watched him channel his talent, energy, creativity, and intelligence into a successful company, Spot-On Entertainment, with dozens of shows he created, and that we have the honor of performing with the top symphonies from Canada to Mexico and coast to coast. But his newest venture, “Corner of the Sky: The Songs of Stephen Schwartz” is an epic achievement on another level. If you’re lucky enough to know Scott, you’ll know that his talent is only surpassed by his generosity, whether it’s treating EVERYONE to meals and drinks, or to the faith he puts in us by providing opportunities to do what we love. That spirit of generosity has been translated into a show that is a love letter to Stephen Schwartz; a celebration of the tremendous artistry Stephen has given us for over 50 years, and whose songs are the soundtrack of every musical theatre kid’s life. It’s so obvious that the show has been expertly crafted by someone whose connection and understanding of the material runs deep, and whose own empathy and musicality is able to give us an evening of shared human experience told through Stephen’s incredible catalogue. John Boswell is giving the performance of a lifetime at the piano, and the whole cast is exceptional. Another testament to Scott is the parade of friends and family who have come to Cincinnati to see this world premiere project, and to give back to him a tiny bit of the support he’s given to us. I can’t wait to see what happens next with this show! It belongs in NYC, in its very own Corner of the Theatre District’s Sky! 🎶 @scottcoulternyc #cornerofthesky @boswellpiano @klea_blackhurst @thechrisblem @jesshendy @spotonpresents

Celebrating the first day of autumn by remembering the best summer I ever had. Seriously. So many good things: symphony dates with San Diego Symphony, Grant Park Music Festival, Colorado Symphony, San Bernardino Symphony, Plymouth Philharmonic , Steamboat Springs, and Ocean City; a new Spot-On website; a concert film on Apple TV; a CD release with the St Louis Symphony on Apple Music; a fantastic trip to Greece (and Paris); a weekend at the Jersey Shore; a wedding in Spokane; and the successful world premiere of “Corner of the Sky: The Songs of Stephen Schwartz” at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati. Truly the best summer ever. Grateful for it all.

Had a great time in Denver with Maestro Christopher Dragon and the Colorado Symphony. Thanks to all who made it happen and all who came out to support.

A true labor of love. A family home since my grandparents bought it in 1942. A full renovation and addition, making it a year round home and preserving it for generations to come. One of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. I couldn’t love being here more and sharing it with family and friends! A huge thank you to @paulrugarber and @pdrdesigns for helping me preserve the best of the old and create the amazing new. Thank you to @frankoskiconstruction , to @chriscalavano , and to my other half, @jd.fisch ,for the nine zillion things he helped with, including my sanity. #I❤️Lavallette #1942 @cafeappliances @moeninc @potterybarn @lovesac @avalonflooring @flooranddecor
