Grandma,
I’m going to miss your hands.
They tirelessly worked
and never shirked responsibility.
They passionately praised
And never lacked in faith.
They consistently loved
And never withheld hugs.
They opened many books
and they somehow always cooked.
They washed my hair and
never hesitated to share whatever I needed.
They spoiled and disciplined,
gardened and guided.
Rooted in my memory and treasured in my heart
will always be the incomparable work of your hands.

You lived to give.
And I am eternally grateful to gain
from your love, your life, your legacy. 🤲🏾💐🕊️

Don’t let anyone else lick the left over cake batter until I get there, Grandma! 😏 I love you! 🩷🤍

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” - Luke 6:38
