Serious about seeing my adopted city reach new heights
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
When it comes to textiles, Debbie Permenter’s creativity knows no bounds. Pillows, bedding, curtains, upholstery and fashion. Working with new and vintage cloth, she always comes up with something new. This Market, in @shopcuratedthreads new showroom (where daughter Taylor is minding the place while her mom is in Roundtop) Debbie is showing a collection of upcycled men’s jackets. Oh, what fun!

OFF TO MARKET!

High Point Market, here I come! A week full of fabulous finds, fresh inspiration, and some FUN conversations about all things design.

I’ll be talking color theory, exploring the latest finds on a Hot Spot Tour, discussing where couture meets curated interiors on the Living in Fashion panel, and diving into the value of custom design in a world of instant gratification.

I’ll be sharing plenty throughout the week, so keep an eye on my stories for behind-the-scenes moments, event details, and RSVP links to join me at the panels.

See you @highpointmarket

THE RE-EDUCATION OF JANE AT HPMKT
Moderating a panel is always a great way to meet new people, and that's one of the reasons I say YES. But it's also an opportunity to learn, rethink what I thought I knew, and see things from a different perspective. this High Point Market, and the range of subjects and voices has me pretty excited.

Scroll through. I hope something tugs at your curiosity.

FRIDAY: Bootcamp! The brainchild of Designhounds' mother hen, Veronika Miller, who's assembled some of the best minds in the kitchen realm to deliver deep education for designers. The kind of knowledge transfer that builds confidence in specifying, strengthens expertise, and earns client trust. It's a full afternoon, 11:30–5, and registration is required. (link in bio)

SATURDAY: Let's talk discretion. How do you stay visible, build your pipeline, and grow your business when your clients are intensely private? An interesting conversation about navigating the business of design when confidentiality is part of the job.

SUNDAY: Two conversations, two very different panels, at Cohab.Space and Fairfield. Both explore the value designers bring to the table in an era when inspiration, products, and design tools are increasingly accessible to everyone.

MONDAY: First stop, 313 Space, for a Science in Design conversation with five interior designers who are bringing health and well-being into their projects—and changing lives through design.

Then, in the afternoon, I'll be introducing the Longevity Home panel. Not simply aging in place, but living vibrantly in a home that supports you through every stage of life. Meet an inspiring group of designers who are creating beautiful, highly functional spaces that adapt as their clients' needs evolve.

Lots to learn. Lots to think about. And hopefully, lots of good conversation.

Hope to see you at one—or more!
