After going down 0-7 against Lake Nona following a rushing touchdown from Noah Green (@noahgreen_4), Winter Park would mount a comeback, lead by two rushing touchdowns from running back Jordan Dejesus (@j2_dejesus), allowing the Wildcats to beat Lake Nona 13-10 in overtime, bringing both of their records to 2-1.

Momentum 26’ where do I even begin what a week. I’ve been trying to find the right words to describe this week but it’s been really hard. I keep coming back to the word grateful. I’m grateful for the memories, opportunity, long days, and the people who have become family. I’m going to share some of my week because Jesus was moving and there is no doubt about it!!

Earlier this summer I decided to join Summer Leadership. I never would’ve thought that I could gain a family in just a short amount of time. I felt like my faith has jumped and I started to get so many opportunities. These amazing people have not just taught me so much about my faith, but about who I am as a person. These people became the people that showed up for me, pushed me and challenged me in my faith. To my leaders: Taylor, Ethan, Lindsey and Evan thank you for believing in me and pushing me to be the best version of myself. Thank you for challenging me, pouring into me and pushing me outside of my comfort zone. Thank you for seeing something in me that I sometimes forget to see in myself.

To start it off I had the blessing to step out of my comfort zone and got asked to serve middle school. I was asked to lead a group of about 8 girls with Valeria and Alexa and these girls taught me more than I could’ve imagined. It brought me to leading prayers and opening up and being vulnerable. It was so cool to see God use each one of us in a different way to meet these children where they were. I thank God that he gave me the privilege to do that.

Next was high school and too be honest I didn’t think God could top what he did in middle school and move more in my life but I was so wrong. I was able to bring some of my closest friends and get to see them open up and start to see and learn about the Jesus I’ve become obsessed with. I saw God move in ways I’ve never seen before not just in my own life but in every single person I was around.

Jesus thank you for choosing me and letting me be able to show your light and love to everyone around me. Don’t ever give up and trust yourself if God calls you to it he will see you through it! Jesus is MOVING!! And the best is yet to come!! ⛪️💛
