Who would’ve guessed I’d make it around the old sun 41 times?

40 was one hell of a ride. There were some incredible highs and some pretty rough lows, but that’s life. I competed in a few powerlifting meets, got invited to a pro show, earned an invite to the Arnold, welcomed my new pup Draco into the family, set some PRs and as of today I’m ranked #1 in the world in Masters (40-44), 165-pound drug-free powerlifting. (Raw+Wraps )

It wasn’t all victories, though. There were some tough moments that tested me. Thankfully, I have an amazing group of family and friends who helped me stay grounded. I also had the honor of standing beside my best friend as he married his second best friend. It was the second-best day of his life… because the first was obviously the day he met me.

To everyone who took a few minutes out of your day to call, text, message, or wish me a happy birthday—thank you. It means more than you know.

Here’s to Chapter 41. Let’s see what this trip around the sun has in store.
