You never really know how much you appreciate something until it is actually gone…for the last 14 years I have sweat, bled, and cried this sport.

I never thought the day would come where I would have to involuntarily walk away from the sport. Unfortunately, today was that day. This sport truly molded me into the individual that I am today and I thank God for that opportunity. I was forced to medically retire from this sport and it is truly gut wrenching because I still had so much left in store💔

There are so many wrestlers in the world who said they hated it with every fiber of their being, but I never had any shame in loving it because without it, I really don’t know what path I would’ve taken if it weren’t for the lessons that showed me the true side of life. Life sometimes isn’t fair, but no matter how many times I lost, I still kept coming back. I want to thank my family, my friends, and my coaches for helping get to where I am today. But most of all I want to thank God that I was able to last 14 years and truly become a student of this amazing sport.
