POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🌼Jan 5th START 🌼 I’ve been trying to figure out how to explain the Guided Year lately, which is kind of funny considering I’m the one who created it.

I can tell you what’s in it easily enough. A full year together, 24 modules, more than 180 recipes, Tuesday afternoon calls, and a Raw Food Chef Certificate at the end of it all.

It’s everything that happens over that year that’s harder to put into a neat little description.

So I went back to this video.

These are some of the women from our 2024 Guided Year. We spent the year together online and then, somehow, I managed to convince them to come all the way to Nicaragua for a five-day immersion at the end of it. 😂

That last part isn’t usually how the Guided Year ends, but I love that it happened with this group.

Watching this again reminds me how much can happen when you give something an entire year. You cook a LOT of food, obviously, but there are also the conversations, the friendships, the things that click six months in, and all the regular life that happens in between.

Anyway, I think I’ll let them tell you what it was like from here.

Registration for the next Guided Year is open now. We begin together, Wednesday, January 6.

I have room for 8 people to come along for the year and I’m looking for 4 more to compete our group. Maybe one of those places is yours.

Watching these reflections brought me right back into the weekend.

A few days together, good food on the table, music playing, women dancing, honest conversations, ocean air… and somewhere along the way, everyone started settling into themselves.

I don’t think we talk enough about how much healing begins with feeling safe. When the nervous system finally has permission to exhale, something shifts. We laugh more easily. We listen differently. We remember parts of ourselves that get buried under busy lives and endless responsibilities.

That’s the experience Julia and I hope to create every time we gather.

Thank you to every woman who trusted us with your weekend, your stories, and your willingness to dive in.

We’re already dreaming about where Plants. Dance. Love. will take us in 2027, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

🌿 Danielle & Julia 💛💃

Three days. Ten incredible women.

Countless conversations, nourishing meals, laughter, movement, quiet moments, and the kind of connection that reminds you what really matters.

Some of the most meaningful moments weren’t planned. They happened over meals, during walks, in between songs, or in the quiet conversations that unfolded when people finally had the space to slow down.

We cooked beautiful plant-based food. We learned. We danced. We rested. We shared stories. We laughed until our cheeks hurt. And somewhere along the way, strangers became community.

To every woman who trusted us with your weekend—thank you. Thank you for showing up fully, for your vulnerability, your openness, your joy, and for reminding me why I do this work.

A huge thank you to the incredible team who helped bring this vision to life. It truly takes a village, and I couldn’t have imagined a more heart-centered group of humans to create this experience alongside.

We’re still floating from the Plants. Dance. Love. Retreat ✨
It was everything we dreamed it would be and then some.

We danced kitchen, in the sunshine and in the rain.
We ocean dipped.
We got playfully curious about ourselves.
We learned to trust our intuition.
We supported eachother.
We laughed.
We devoured insanely delicious whole plant foods.
We experienced breath work & a sound bath.

👟🌱Everyone learned the foundations of plant-based eating and shuffle dancing, all in the name of reigniting their internal spark and bringing home simple ways to pump the lymphatic system and add more plants into their own day-to-day lives. 👟🌱

And the women!! 💗

…Thank you for sharing your stories, for allowing yourselves to be supported, for saying yes to you and your own joy.

The energy we curated for the weekend truly allowed everyone to feel safe and be exactly who they are.

We’re already dreaming up the next one. 🌱

🙏Endless gratitude to the local businesses who filled our goodie bags with so much goodness:

What does it actually take to change a life?

Like really change it. Flip it in a way that actually holds.

Because inside Pachavega, everything is already there.

The modules, the recipes, the lessons… you can move through it on your own time, at your own pace. And for some people, that works beautifully.

But I’ve been watching this for years now.

There’s a difference between having something… and living it.

A big difference.

And the place where things start to shift is when there’s a rhythm to return to.

A time each week where you show up, whether you feel on or off, clear or a little lost, and we’re there together in it.

It becomes a conversation instead of something you circle.

It becomes something you live inside of.

The kitchen starts to feel different. you get your groove. The way you think about food starts to soften. It’s easier to notice yourself coming back more easily when you drift.

And the community piece… that part always surprises people.

Being in it with others, hearing what they’re moving through, realizing you’re not the only one figuring this out in real time. Becoming friends.

Something lands there.

That’s the Guided Year.

It’s me meeting you each week. Us together. A group of 8 of us. We co-create a space that holds you through a full year of your life.
It’s Pachavega, but lived in real time.

We begin October 5th.

A Few Spots left for the Living the Lifestyle Retreat here in Nicaragua!

November 3rd through the 10th on Ometepe Island, this is a one-week immersion into what it truly looks like to live a holistic plant-based lifestyle in practice.

This is not just about recipes. It is about rhythm.

Vibrant food, daily movement, fresh air, nervous system reset, connection, nature, and the simple rituals that help this way of living become real and sustainable in your everyday life.

More importantly, you will leave with your own rituals, recipes, mindset tools, and habit practices to bring home with you, so this does not stay as something beautiful that happened for one week in Nicaragua.

The intention is permanent change.

To help you create a way of living that feels nourishing, grounded, and actually doable once you return home.

This is where healing becomes practical.
Food is the foundation, but we also work with mindset, daily habits, nervous system support, and the rhythms that make change last.

This is the lived experience of Pachavega.

Registration is open now.
Link in bio for all the details.
Come to Nicaragua. We would love to welcome you here.

One of the things students often say when they arrive and dive into Pachavega is that they thought it was just going to be about making food in the kitchen.

Then we sit down at the table and open the books.

The 450 plus page textbook that has taken over a decade to curate.

Inside it is nutrition science. Real, current information that continues to evolve. Unlike textbooks that get frozen in time, nutrition science is always changing, and so should we.

We talk about digestion, the gut, the nervous system, how nutrients move through the body, why certain foods help the body restore itself, and what systems of the body are affected.

Then we go into the kitchen and make the food.

Later we sit together and eat it, noticing how the body actually responds, and over time how eating this way begins to shift things on a cellular level.

This is how Pachavega programs work.

Study it.
Make it.
Eat it.
Feel it.

When people understand what is happening inside the body, the lifestyle becomes much easier to sustain because you feel the difference.

It stops being a diet and starts becoming simply who you are.

A meaningful moment for Pachavega.

Pachavega has been named Best Online Plant-Based Culinary School 2026 by the Canadian Business Awards.

This recognition reflects years of steady education, thoughtful teaching, and a commitment to food as a foundation for real, lasting change.

It also marks a moment of clarity.
Pachavega is being re-seen now as what it has grown into, a school of holistic wellness education, designed to support real life.

Grateful to the students, educators, and community who have shaped this work and carried it forward.

The work continues.

When I look at these photos, I see evolution.

I see people choosing to grow. I see ideas tested, refined, expanded. I see the expression of a school that has stayed rooted while the world around it has changed a lot.

Over the last fourteen years, close to 600 students have studied inside the online school and more than 210 have trained with us in person. When I include workshops and retreats, it’s nearly a thousand people who have engaged with this work directly.

There were no major ad campaigns behind that. No corporate backing. It grew through conversation. One person experienced a shift and told another. Sometimes it really was as simple as a poster in a coffee shop bathroom.

Trends come and go. Fads rise and disappear. What lasts is deeper than that.

The mission has never been about the latest wellness wave. It’s rooted in something older and steadier: that we are responsible for our health, that food is foundational, that the body is intelligent, and that education allows us to live that wisdom in real life.

Science evolves. Understanding deepens. Programs change as new research emerges and better methods are proven. That evolution is part of integrity. But the core remains the same: healing is holistic, and food is where we begin.

Most businesses don’t make it this long. Pachavega has, because it was built on something that doesn’t expire.

Next year marks fifteen years. This year, the physical space in Nicaragua continues to expand, and the school keeps growing in ways that feel aligned. I’m also opening space for a limited number of private, immersive retreats for those who want to work more closely and deeply.

If you’ve been part of this school in any way, share this.
That’s how it has always grown.

Rooted deeply.
Reaching upward.

Fourteen years of steady expansion.

I’m curious… have you been part of Pachavega’s journey?

Save this for your flavor balancing practice.

Plating is not about decoration.
It is about understanding the plate.

When flavor, texture, and contrast are intentional, a recipe becomes flexible.
When balance is understood, creativity follows naturally.

At Pachavega, students learn to follow structure first — proportion, measurement, method — and then refine with awareness.

Education builds confidence.
Confidence builds skill.

If you are ready to deepen your understanding of plant-based culinary foundations, explore our pathways:

• Heal & Ignite Masterclass — 3-day foundational intensive
• Holistic Detox Journey — 2-week guided reset
• 21-Day Gut Reset Challenge — structured digestive restoration
• Self-Paced Raw Food Chef Course — lifetime access, typically completed in 6–12 months

Each program is designed for real life.
Education before transformation.

Comment “SCHOOL” and we’ll send you the link to explore the online school.

Food has always been where Pachavega begins.

It’s where people start to notice real shifts, in digestion, energy, and how they relate to their bodies. From there, the work naturally expands into daily habits, nervous system health, and how life is actually lived.

At Pachavega, food is taught as a foundation through education that is practical, adaptable, and meant to support real life, not control it.

This learning doesn’t happen in isolation.
Within the Pachavega ecosystem, there is an ongoing, connected community that supports integration, reflection, and staying engaged with the work over time. When you become a student, you are welcome into this community!

This is the foundation the school was built on.
And it’s still what guides the work today.

Two weeks back at home already.
How does it feel?

Graduating and becoming a raw food chef is a huge accomplishment. Truly. But once the celebration fades and life starts moving again, this is where it really begins.

Integration.

When you are no longer in the container, no longer surrounded by the rhythm, the meals, the shared intention, what comes next can feel tender, quiet, and sometimes lonely. That is normal.

At Pachavega, the journey does not end when you leave.

Something new I am weaving into the future, starting with this very first program that just ended, is deeper integration support. Every student who comes through my programs now receives a three day integration bonus course, plus a three month check in call.

Because this work matters and change does not happen once. It’s constant.
Real transformation happens in real life, back in your own kitchen with your schedule and your relationships.

This is actually only the beginning.

Pachavega is taking a pause from teaching 30 day residencies in borrowed spaces. The next chapter begins at La Vida Bonita, in the kitchen we are building from the ground up. November 2027. A small group of the Founding Five will help open the door at La Vida Bonita, and I am deeply grateful for the ones already stepping forward.

Integration is not an afterthought.
It is the work, and often the hardest part.

You’ve got this.
