POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’ve worked incredibly hard over the years, and I’m deeply grateful for every lesson, opportunity and person who has believed in me along the way.

Soon, the world will get a fuller glimpse of my work as an actor—and see why I was blessed to win Best Lead Actor and Best Writing—Drama at the Indie Series Awards.

I don’t take any of it for granted. The journey continues, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT COMING SOON! #momentstheseries

@hanznobe doesn’t know this, but I call him my grounded producer—my therapy producer. My “put your feet in the grass, breathe, and get centered” producer.

He pulled a whole ass therapy session on me! Let’s just sit down, talk about your feelings, and figure out what you’re actually trying to convey type shit! LOL.

As someone who has been in therapy for many years, I thought I had all the tools I needed to navigate my life and my space. What I didn’t realize was that sometimes you need to re-up, if you will.

I was so used to expressing my feelings through my art and my work—just going into the studio and letting it all pour out. But having to actually sit with someone and talk through my journey before I ever stepped to the mic grounded me in a way I never expected.

Hanz produced the lead single, “Healing,” and the title track, “Xone,” and it’s no mistake that he was entrusted with those two records. One begins the journey inward, and the other brings the entire album home. He helped me find the emotional center of this project—and, in many ways, helped me find mine again.

Thank you, Hanz, for creating a space where I could be honest, vulnerable, and still make that shit dance.

Meet one of the producers of Xone Vol. 1—Brandon D’Lux.

This is our third album together, and our journey goes back a long way. At one point, Brandon was the only producer who truly believed in me. He was ride or die—no matter what direction I wanted to explore, how far outside the box I wanted to go, or how wild the vision sounded.

My brother. My friend. My artistic champion.

We’ve traveled a long road together on this artsy journey, creating, experimenting, growing and trusting one another along the way. So when it was time to build the world of Xone Vol. 1, I had to bring him back.

Some creative bonds are bigger than the music. Brandon, thank you for always believing in the artist I was—and the artist I’m still becoming.

I worked really, really, REALLY hard on this!!

XONE VOL. 1 — COMING SOON!

Malachi Rivers with The Charles Reese Experience

A celebration of Spoken Word Poetry & House/Dance Music—two art forms that became safe spaces for me, healed me, freed me and gave me somewhere to belong. So I brought them together.

Alongside me is The Charles Reese Experience—a man who can take the simplest words and make them feel like a Sunday sermon and a ballroom battle, all in the same breath.

Joining us: 3x GRAMMY nominee Queen Sheba on the title track “Xone”—and yep, Sheba and I are at it AGAIN for our second back-to-back duet! Plus Carla Gibson, JGordon, Davi Akei, Jael Bathsheba, Chelsea Vonchaz, Courtnee Roze & Idella Johnson.

And the MUSIC?!

Production by GRAMMY-nominated, Billboard-charting dance producer Hanz Nobe; dance DJ & multi-genre producer Brandon D’Lux; legendary London & Harlem house DJ DJ Stormin’ Norman; and epic house producer & multi-instrumentalist eCUSSIONIST.

Spoken Word. House. Dance. Healing. Freedom.

Welcome to the XONE.

COMING SOON.

WE DID A THING!!

I went into this fully prepared to create a solo album celebrating my love for spoken word poetry and house/dance music—the two art forms that have always made me feel completely FREE.

Of course, I planned to have a few incredible features, and Charles Reese was one of them. But what I never anticipated was finishing that first collaboration and immediately thinking, “Nah…we need to do another song together.”

Then another.

And another.

And before we knew it, what started as my solo project had evolved into a collaborative journey through spoken word poetry and house music—two art forms that ignite my soul.

Sometimes you start creating with one destination in mind, and the art tells you where it actually wants to go.

XONE VOL. 1 — Malachi Rivers with The Charles Reese Experience.

WE DID A THING!! And I cannot wait for y’all to hear what we created.
