This time we got to work with @Eugeneleeyang on recreating one of @laikastudio 's haunting characters that has lived rent free in my psyche since 10 years ago. Emulating Deborah Cook's textile design was no small feat.

I cannot thank Eugene enough for his trust in me (again) when it came to designing and executing all the wearable elements of Washi and Kubo's cosplays.

My sanity stayed stitched together during this project with @nanbaltazar and @sikamikanicoh's blind trust in my ability to "make it so". This also would not have been possible without @arthubsevents ' studio space at @danielsspectrum .

👯‍♀️ “We are your family, Kubo. Your mother’s sisters. And we’ve been looking for you for so long.” Celebrating 10 years of LAIKA’s Kubo and the Two Strings by becoming my favorite characters from the iconic film. 🎭 #Kubo10 And make sure to see @laikastudios next masterpiece #Wildwood, only in theaters October 23!

Thank you @arthubsevents @danielsspectrum for creating the flex artist lofts in Regent Park - so much was able to happen during my studio reno!!

🪲 Today marks the 10th anniversary of LAIKA’s Kubo and the Two Strings, one of my favorite films from a studio I’ve long adored. In honor of #Kubo10, I’ve transformed into the titular character, who taught us that those we love - especially those we’ve lost - live on forever in the stories we tell. 🍂 @laikastudios

There’s something about a wedding at @vibianaevents that feels larger than life.

The grand architecture, the light pouring through the windows, the sense of history in every corner—but our favorite part will always be watching two people make the space feel entirely their own. 🤍
