As I share this post, I reflect on the gift that it was to experience Belize. The island, Caye Caulker, taught me how important it is to “go slow.” 🌊 ❤️

2 1/2 years ago I had the opportunity passed down by my mom to run an amazing Belizean restaurant—an incredibly unique experience I’ve had as a young woman. This is a bittersweet moment now that it’s come to a close.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the incredible staff, friends, and mentors I’ve met along this journey. From laughs shared to late-night shifts, you’ve made this experience richer and more beautiful. You are family.

To my aunties, siblings, cousins, and my dad—you’ve been my unwavering support. Your encouragement and love have been the foundation of this journey. Thank you. 🌹

The past 24 hours have been emotional to say the least, I graduated and I’m moving out of the state I called home for my whole life so far. I have too many people to thank for making my time here memorable and unforgettable. To all of my friends and people that have been part of my life in AZ I love each and every single one of you. I don’t know when I’ll see you all again but I’m glad I’ve built bonds with some of you to where we can continue to talk and connect. For the past four years though I couldn’t ask for a better friend group, it was a wild ride through high school but at the end of the day we all did it and I’m proud of you guys. Without a doubt I’m gonna miss everyone in AZ but I can’t wait to start a new chapter in my life. I don’t know when I’ll ever be back but no matter where I live in the future, AZ will always be home.
