Happy birthday Mom, You would’ve turned 66 today. I can’t believe it’s been 5 years already since you’ve been gone. I love and miss you so god damn much, I wish I could hug you and tell you I love you just one more time. I still have days where I really struggle to even function as a normal person, but then others where I can remember and cherish the happy memories I have and can hold on to. You were the greatest gift a son could have hoped for. You raised me as a single mom most of my life. You did the best you absolutely could with what you had at the time. You gave me and my brother @jdwnash an incredible life, and chances to grow and opportunities, that you yourself never had while you were growing up. I can only be forever grateful for your selflessness and unknown countless sacrifices you made for him and I. The pain of losing you is never going to go away, there is a gaping hole in my heart still, and even with time, the pain does not lessen. My ability to face the pain is the only thing that I can change. Despite our issues, you were still my best friend, my care taker, both my mom and my dad at times, my shoulder to lean or cry on, my mentor, my guiding light, and my hero. Happy 66th birthday Mom. I love and miss you with all my heart ❤️ - Love, Your Son, Adam
