One more collaboration with our Champion for Peace, @grace_geyoro after two qualifying wins for the 2027 World Cup, we were able to screen the documentary about her commitment, supported by @jjpcongo and @peaceandsport. Another wonderful moment that reminds us that #internationalwomensday celebrated on March 8, should resonate throughout the year. Thanks to the Champions for Peace who came to support the initiative . @suryabonaly1 @pascalgentilofficiel @diana_leou . Thanks as well to journalists and personalities that defend women rights @laurageorges_4 #vanessalemoigne #Syanie Dalmat and all

For the fourth year, the @lequipe Group, the @ballondorofficial and @peaceandsport are awarding the Socrates Prize during the Ballon d’Or ceremony! What a remarkable winner the family of @luisenrique_2121 is for their commitment through their @xanafoundation with @siramartinezc . The award was presented by a personality who is particularly dear to us, Princess Charlene of Monaco. A former Olympic athlete, very involved in drowning prevention and using sport as an educational tool . A big thank you to our Champions for Peace, without whom our organization would not be what it is. Congratulation to #aitanabonmati and #ousmanedemebele. Here's the translation of your sentence into English:

I wanted to extend this message to those who preserve the memory of Socrates, especially his family, @rai10oficial and @socratesbrasileiro

On the occasion of #worldrefugeeday , I am thinking particularly of @alihussein_911 and his family who, after participating for 5 years in the transformative Peace and Sport -Living Together- program in Jordan, was granted the right to reside in the United States for himself, his wife, and his 3 children. This is a testament to the power of sports, which not only provided a platform for physical activity but also opened doors to new opportunities and a brighter future. I visited him last year in USA and it was an extraordinary moment of sharing, living proof that our work is bearing fruit and that sport must be considered a powerful integration tool. Thanks Nesreen, Ali, Ibrahim, Noor, Amir, Jado and @odayalkhozai our local coordinator I often have a thought for you who are still in the camp and going through difficult times but always maintaining hope for better days. #unhcr , #wakokickboxing #peaceansdport

Getting involved socially is not an obligation, but those who do it because they really believe in it are super inspiring. Such a wonderful day with @didierdrogba ,

There is good evidence that participation in sports can help break-down gender stereotypes, improve girls’ and women’s self-esteem and contribute to the development of leadership skills.
Proud to be part of the @naandi_india activities through the @nanhikali 's project.
This project brings more than 180000 girls in #india every year within the leadership of 6000 coaches.
This project would not be possible without a strong leadership, partners and #championforpeace

When I was young, athletes had no place in my environment. Coming from a small village in the heart of Champagne, the regional heroes were not numerous. As soon as I started kayaking, I became increasingly involved in the sport as an athlete and then as an Olympic coach during 3 Olympiads. Finally, during these significant events, I was confronted with athletes from different sports. I could appreciate the champions and understand that a grand champion was not only a successful athlete but also those who committed daily to promoting their sport and helping their community. For years Peace and Sport, which I have been leading, has been transforming the world of peace through sport with a community approach by giving athletes the role of ambassadors, role models, speakers, and many more. Its message has a substantial impact on young people and communities, and they are natural spokespersons for society as a whole.
Today is the announcement of the nominees for the Socrates Award that Peaceandsport co-constructed with LÉquipe and France Football.
A trophy that rewards the best footballers for their commitment each year. At Peace and Sport, we can collaborate closely with Didier Drogba, our Vice-President. Through his personality and commitment, we also perceive his impact on societies in Ivory Coast and Europe, whether in Marseille, Chelsea, or elsewhere.

We are therefore proud that Alex Morgan, Asisat Oshoala, Antonio Rudiger, Markus Rashford, and Vinicius Junior are the nominees this year. The winner will be announced on October 30, 2023. In my opinion, the five have already won, but one of them, through their commitments, will stand out and have the chance to lift this 2nd trophy after that of the last year, which saw Sadio Mané become the first winner.
