One of these textile designers dressed the Beatles. Secret UK fabric sources designers know, they came from your comments!

After my last fabric video, you filled the comments with UK textile houses designers love. Fresh off speaking at the London Design Festival, I’m sharing the full UK list:

Colefax and Fowler, Watts 1874, Jean Monro, Ian Mankin (yes, the Beatles one, his leather designs are on the Revolver cover), Designers Guild, Fermoie, Timorous Beasties, and bonus entry Colours of Arley.

Why British fabric matters, even in a California home is because of you furnish from one store and you get that store’s look from that year.

If you layer in layer special prints, heritage weaves, and patterns with real history; a room reads as a life, or an inheritance and these are the sources we pull from.

As a luxury interior designer serving Malibu, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles, I use these textile houses to bring depth into kitchens, baths, historic homes, and whole-home remodels.

Tell me in your thoughts in the comments, you clearly know your sources. Next up is France so hit me!

Save this list for your next project and follow @ggemdesign for more trade resources.
