🦄 Fuego Appreciation Post 🤍

JP and her off-the-track Thoroughbred, Fuego, are learning lots together and looking great! ✨ Retraining an OTTB takes time, trust, and a whole lot of patience. JP is doing a beautiful job laying the foundation for a lasting partnership. Great things take time, and it’s all coming together! 🙌

🏇 Formerly known as High Heater and trained by Bob Hess Jr., Fuego has quite the impressive résumé with 8 career wins and starts at some of the most iconic racetracks in the country, including Saratoga, Keeneland, Gulfstream, Santa Anita, and Del Mar.

🏆🔜 He’s getting ready to make his debut in the show ring later this season, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for this special pair! 🩵🤎

✈️🇮🇹 Sending best wishes to our working student Jaime @burnt.sienna.soup.ladles as they head to Italy this summer to excavate the Necropoli del Vallone di San Lorenzo, an ancient burial site dating back to the 7th–4th century BCE.

Jaime has been part of our Avanti Barn Family for about eight years now, and is always ready to lend a hand or offer support for friends around the barn. 🤎🩵 We love having Jaime around the barn and will miss them this summer.

🌍⛏️ They’ll be digging for school credit as part of their Classics, Religious Studies, and Philosophy studies at Ohio Wesleyan University, right before heading into Junior year!

We can’t wait to hear all about your discoveries. 🌿🗺️ Buon viaggio! 🍝💫

📷🦄 Special thanks to JP @jeanne_eq for sharing her horse Fuego with us for the pictures!
