perfect singing or people singing? You decide. “I’ve never sung in a choir before” “I’ve never heard my husband sing until tonight” “Only 364 years until next year’s Christmas Choir!” “Thanks for letting me sing in a choir because I don’t normally get to!” These are some of my favorite responses from last night. We alternated singing carols in a sing-a-long style and going through a couple octavos (Carol of the Bells, Sleigh Ride, and Hallelujah Chorus). We also battled a broken keyboard that we were able to replace 30 minutes prior to with my 7 year old student’s birthday keyboard she got less than a week ago. And then the sound system stopped working. BUT despite those glitches (as you always know there will be) I had a blast and I hope/ know/ believe others did too! Special thanks to @blainemcneil for sticking with it on the keys! Soooo much thanks to my family and friends for coming, supporting, and bringing friends and family! ❤️ This was SUPER out of my comfort zone to do this but completely in my mission to generate a stronger culture of people singing. ❤️ #choir #singalong #choirdirector #choirteacher #peoplesinging #choirculture unofficial #beerchoir #beersong #craftbeer #musiceducation

Made it back to Raleigh with four hours to spare before rehearsal and service this morning for our combined service! So many people helped make this possible and I am most grateful! A wonderful service with a message that opened with talking about the Grand Canyon, too! ❤🎶
