We needed a lot yogis who were willing to be on set doing yoga things for over six hours and @smallonionstudios came through as Casting Director! Shout out to founder @marquelleyoung for pulling it all together. We’ll be singing her praises as director as well soon, but for now thank you Small Onion for filling out the space!

Another special shout out to @alllifeisyoga for casting actual students from the studio!

Take a bite out of life 🍑👅 A juicy peach is good place to start 😋 I had the pleasure of photographing @allison.wunderluna.dabbs enjoying a delicious perfectly ripe peach (perfectly ripe thanks to @jeb.brown_ he knows how to pick out good fruit 🍉 🍒😜) Just love the symbolism and sensuality of this set. And it really makes me want to eat a juicer ripe peach 🍑

Because home is also amazing.

I love that most have no idea where I am in the world. I could be posting about a number of places yet be happy at home in Atlanta.

Having grown up here, I swore that this would not be my home. However, I moved back in 2008 with the intention to grow roots and put my energy into my home town, see what happens. And I’ve never regretted it.

Atlanta offers me everything I need to thrive. My parents are close, my friends are fun and amazing, my business thrives, and there’s an abundance of nature to hike with my best dog pal.

We never know where we will end up. We must be willing to follow our paths and find our truths. Yet, it is truly the choice to be happy, to make a place a home, to put yourself out there and live fully whether you are traveling the world or simply in your home town. Remember, life is the adventure.

From South Africa we flew to Botswana and then took a tiny bush plane to the Okavango Delta. The Okavango is one of the most remote wildernesses in the world. One of the reasons I love and respect Botswana is that China tried to buy this area to plant and harvest rice. Had Botswana said yes, it would have literally starved one of the largest animal populations to death as the Okavango Delta provides water and food to the population of animals. Instead, Botswana said no and made it a UNESCO world heritage site protecting this land for future generations. So much respect, Botswana.

Sharing people’s first Safari experiences with others is beyond powerful for me. I could never convey the mightiness, majesty, or humbleness one experiences beside Africa’s great wilderness, the way it changes your soul and makes you humble. Once you have been to Africa, there is a part of you that is touched forever. This time was no different. 💜

Day 1
The natural beauty of Cape Town is almost incomparable to any where else in the world. It’s tiny region comprises 1 entire biodiversity called the Fynbos Region. I had an amazing teacher, Penny, who taught me while I certified as a guide there. She would always say, “Touch the flowers and plants! Experience them!” Through her, I learned a love of the unique flora of my homelands. There are over 4000 species unique to the region. I was so grateful to share it with my amazing and intrepid friends who chose to share in the journey with me. On the 1st day, I shared the unparalleled beauty of the land from the aliveness of the oceans to the vibrance of the hills. #capetown #kirstenboachgardens #fynbos #protea #friendstravel #joy #southafrica #southafricaisbeautiful
