What a complete JOY it was to travel, work, and play with this cast. I have never been around a more supportive, loving, hilarious, and talented company. Our show spaceship traveled all over, and no matter where we went, it always felt like home. A lot can happen on the road, and I’m so grateful that we had each other through all of it 🙏

They say you become a part of every show you do, but only some shows become a part of you. This show has changed me, tested me, broken me, and built me back up time after time. I have memories that I’ll probably still laugh and cry at for years. But above all else I have pride, knowing that I conquered this beast against all odds. I wish I could say I have no regrets, but one thing I’ll never regret, is that from the first rehearsal to our final bow, I worked tirelessly, fearlessly, with love in my heart through actual blood, sweat, and tears. I can truly say I put it all on the line.

To God, thank you for carrying me through some of the best and worst moments of my life so far. For keeping me standing on two feet during days I should’ve fallen. For adding super to my natural, extra to my ordinary, and having your hand on the wheel, steering me toward places I couldn’t have taken myself. I’m eternally grateful.

To my cast (past and present), our crew, production team, management team, creative team, casting, anyone who had a hand in making this impossible show possible everyday, I am so thankful for you. Thank you for your trust and support. Although this tour is over, I’m sure I’ll see you all again because, as we know, no one ever leaves MJ.

To Michael, there aren’t many people who can say they’ve stepped in your shoes, even for a few hours a night. 9 year old me was screaming every time I got the chance to. I was a huge fan before this show and through this experience my respect and love for your work has multiplied a million times over. Thank you for being a trailblazer and a true inspiration. You’ve taught me things I’ll keep with me forever.

Last but not least, to the fans. Fans of Michael, MJ the musical, and myself. Thank you for supporting live theater and making shows like this worthwhile. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all the messages, hugs, gifts, words of encouragement, and love. The smiles in the audience and at the stage door really pushed me through on nights when I didn’t feel like I could do it. Thank you for everything.

This is only the beginning!

I am….BEYOND grateful for this opportunity the last 3 years traveling North America. @mjthemusical First National Tour was my very first theatre gig after transitioning from concert dance! Life on the road has not been easy whatsoever and it is no easy feat. It has been filled with a whole lotta joy, love, growth, connections, laughter, tears, adventures, harmonies, birthdays, celebrations, support, navigation of life, weight gain, weight loss, anger and frustration, the list goes on. I often heard “tour life isn’t real life.” And I disagree, it is real life! Oh but the beauty of life and getting to walk through it together with the other divine beings who were there for a portion or the whole thing. Life long friends and support has been established. It has truly been an HONOR to show up to this job across North America the last 3 years. Thank you so much to Casting and Creatives for seeing me back in 2022 and early 2023 and wanting me onboard this mothership. I am forever filled with gratitude. We saw the last San Diego show of MJ for Mother’s Day! Wow, this must be an extremely demanding show and this cast is giving their all!!! It was extra special to see @jedres after seeing him as Mark in Rent at this same theatre 20 years ago!
