While I still maintain that design-wise the Mark XVI is my favorite IWC pilot, one of the things that tipped me over on the Mark XVIII was the execution of the tool-less micro-adjust system. It’s built into the clasp and virtually invisible. Operating it is ridiculously easy and intuitive, just push down on the logo and slide. The action is buttery smooth, and there’s gotta be at least 10 positions on that clasp - putting the micro in micro-adjust. 🚨#NWA🚨 Swipe to tilt the dial and see the light and colour shift! A #bluewatchmonday kinda pickup - and a rather unexpected one too. Say hello to the IWC Mark XVIII Le Petit Prince. This blue dial is absolutely stunning, especially when the sun hits it - it practically glows! I used to own a Mark XVI and I swore it was the best that IWC had to offer. The slightly smaller dial, curvature of the case, shorter lugs, matte hands, and slimness made it a perfect wear. While I still stand by what I said, there are a couple of features on the Mark XVIII that have me thinking it might be worth the trade off. More on those in a future post! I’ll also say I’ve definitely been won over by @watch_girl_life’s shots!
