I like airplanes, heavy metal, my pets, and my wife. Not necessarily in that order.

Year 7/8 of the almighty @hellsheroes . The old world is in very great turmoil as the new world struggles to be born, so to speak. But the one constant is the power of camaraderie and the power of heavy metal. In the heart of Texas this weekend, both were in great abundance. Capping it off with Udo and Doro showing us the way of the riff, Enslaved performing my second favorite album of theirs, and a powerful tribute to the almighty Quorthon and Bathory. The feeling is beyond words. May it continue for many years to come.

"What do you see inside your mind?
Is it your dreams or just the torment of life?
Break away from your anxieties today
Don't ever let them drag you down."

Another year, another Hell's Heroes!

What can I say that hasn't already been said? This festival and its surrounding activities are my highlight of the year. Nothing better to me than getting to meet friends new and old, hanging out in person for a few days listening to the music we all love.

Got the opportunity to vend with @greylords.hoard and @postmortem_apocalypse again, which is always a swell time! Getting to talk to folks about the merch is cool and the booth also serves as a hangout beacon

Til we meet again! Next stop: @fireinthemountains

My second year in a row of Hell's Heroes in the books. It's hard to describe how special of a feeling it is to be there. Three days surrounded by friends, fellow fans, and people you look up to as inspirations, all there for one common goal: To listen to your favorite bands play heavy metal. Shout outs to everyone I met or reconnected with this year for providing great hangs, to @greylordoftheabyss and @hidrnic and the @guardsoflourn for creating a true sense of comradery through music, to anyone in a band that stopped for a moment to let me just say hey or to grab a pic, to @jeezermeister for letting me play passenger princess, and most importantly to @iambakka for putting on possibly the best fest we have here in the states. It's truly something remarkable and I'm already looking forward to next year.

As quoted from a friend; maybe the Heroes in Hell are the buds we meet along the way. A fantastic weekend capped off with a life affirming set from one of the kings of evil thrash after nearly 2 decades of waiting. I am already hungry for more metal in Tejas and can't wait to see how they outdo themselves. Till next time, Houston.

Day 2/2 complete, and I've return home victorious after a hardy weekend jaunt at @hellsheroes with the boy @jeezermeister

What an amazing time. Met some great people, made new friends, and got to watch and interact with some of my favorite bands.

I also was able to successfully complete a sidequest JR and I cooked up a few weeks back: We bought swords and got them signed - by the entirety of @visigothslc , the entirety of @gatekeeper_metal , @cyclopeansteel , @sebastianspydersilva , and Carlos Llanas. This thing is my prized possession.

Overall just an amazing weekend, and I can't wait to do it again.

Had an awesome trip with some good friends over the holiday in Kansas City! Ate too much BBQ, but it was worth it 💯
