For those curious about what can help with oil starvation in the gr86. We have been testing the @verusengineering aluminum oil pan. This pan increases the oil capacity as well has an internal baffle to mitigate oil starvation for track driven 86s. We paired this with @jdl_auto UEL headers, which is a confirmed fitment with this oil pan. A little secret, we have been working with @fuelforce_kenny reinforced silicone oil pan gasket instead of using RTV. For the past year we have not had any issues.

Seized suspension parts holding back this m3 from getting the ideal wheel fitment. We aren’t rookies with salt belt cars. Trust us to take care of your track/daily so you can drive and have fun with peace of mind ✌️

This Civic Type R has been an excellent backup track car. This season, I planned on competing in ClubTR with my S2000, but life had other plans. Instead, I got to run a full season in Gridlife’s Street class.

With no weight reduction, power, or alignment modifications, I’m probably one of the only people in time attack who tracks on the weekend and drives to daycare on Monday.

Was the car competitive with the front runners? No way. But I still had a great season refining my driving skills and putting down some respectable times at Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen, and Lime Rock.

If you’re looking for a car that can do it all, the Civic Type R is a solid choice!

This weekend was truly unforgettable. Came here last year for the first time just as a spectator, and returned one year later as a driver, determined to learn from some of the fastest drivers in the country. I don’t know the timeline on where life will be taking me next, but I know I’ll definitely miss this group of amazing people and will always remember this weekend 🥹

Lime Rock Recap:

Had a decent qualify with a 58.7 for p12, could have gone few tenth better but not a terrible place for our set up.

Race 1, I went on the marble on the outside and correction led me to lose 4 places. Then, I ran into a fuel cut issue towards the end but manage to finish p19.

LRP is a hard track to gain position back because of how small the track is. This mistake would later cause me to battle it out in the midpack.

Race 2, started P19 but ended up in traffic and couldn’t get a good timed lap for race 3 even though I finished P14.

Race3, started P20 because I couldn’t get a clean lap in race 2, battled it out with Julio and ended up in p15.

Race 4, started P15 and ended up P14.

This is also the first weekend where we did not have to work on the car. So now we can finally work on set up and see how to dial this in better. Coming off the high at Watkins, this weekend was a bit of a let down but we will learn from the mistake.

Thanks for @teamslowbro_ for helping out (@prashinkaranam and @qius.cars). Thanks @rumblestripgarage for supporting. They had a wheel hub issue which ended their weekend early.

Also thanks for all the other folks that helped out and hung out with us. (@564lab @ydmotorsports @ransomgarage @igotsole21 @ikigai.no.jinsei @weeaboo_jimmy im prob missing ppl so don’t be mad if I didn’t tag you)

Race weekend starts long before the green flag. 🏁

The RSG team made it to GridLife at Lime Rock Park with three cars — two S2000s and @isdonald in the BRZ ready to take on GLTC!

Getting the S2K finished and running in time for this weekend was a push, but the team got it done right on schedule.

Friday means final prep: numbers going on, decals and liveries getting finished, cars getting checked over, and the crew getting everything ready for battle.

Three cars. Three drivers. One team behind them with full trackside support all weekend.

Now it’s time to see what they can do.

Who are you rooting for this weekend? 👀

The cars get the attention, but the people are what make a race weekend possible.

GridLife Watkins Glen wasn’t just about lap times and race results. It was about the team behind the scenes making sure everything came together when it mattered most.

Trackside support. Media coverage. Logistics. Coordination. Long days and late nights.

The drivers may be behind the wheel, but every lap is supported by a crew putting in the work before, during, and after the checkered flag.

Some of our favorite moments this weekend weren’t even at the track. From the paddock to Summer Apex, weekends like these remind us that the friendships and experiences are just as important as the racing.

Experiences bring people together. Trust is what keeps them together.

Tag someone who’s part of your race weekend crew.
