TADA!

That was what Pop Pop would always have us say growing up. No matter what we’d accomplished, big or small, it wasn’t done until you threw your arms in the air and yelled, “Tada!”

We were all so lucky to have a grandfather who celebrated us at every step of the way. After losing him earlier this year, our family wanted to find the perfect way to celebrate his life in the same way he always celebrated ours.

Of all the things Pop Pop loved, space was the biggest — if you ever met him, you could probably tell from something he was wearing. But he was more than a lover of space, he was an evangelist for it. He took us to rocket launches and the Kennedy Center — Maddie and Lizzie even went to space camp! And it wasn’t just us. Pop Pop spent his free time volunteering at space museums. He even took groups of school kids he’d never met to see launches, much of it on his own dime.

So this year, our family got in touch with @the_cosmosphere to remember him the only way that felt right — with a SPACE CAMP Scholarship in his name 🚀.

We have been raising funds to help send kids who love space to a place where they can run missions, solve problems, build confidence, and begin to imagine themselves as future engineers, scientists, pilots, and explorers.

Today, our “Tada!” is for the fact that we’ve already raised enough to send 68(!) kids to space camp. But we’re not stopping there — we’re two-thirds of the way to our goal of $25,000, which would make the Mark Annis Space Camp Scholarship Fund a PERMANENT, endowed scholarship that carries on Pop Pop’s legacy for years to come.

It would mean so much to us if you’d consider contributing. We’ve each linked the fundraiser in our bios — every little bit keeps the ripple going!

With love and rocket fuel,
Audrey, Maddie, Lizzie, and Hannah❤️

What an absolutely incredible and memorable evening at @spacehumanity's first ever Celestial Soirée in #Denver. We had the honor of presenting the first ever Ed Dwight Award for breaking barriers in #space to the iconic individual it is named after, @edjdwight. Thank you to @senatorbennet for attending and helping us award this honor. Also, sincere thanks to those who sent such touching messages of support from afar like @rookisaacman, @lelandmelvin, @astrojoanie, @thfbernardharris, and @astrovicglover! @amandangocnguyen, sharing your story reminded us of your strength, how inspiring you are, and why we are so proud to be a part of your journey. Thank you to everyone who attended! Special shout out to @dylantaylorspace for hosting! Together, we are democratizing access to space! #2space4earth #adastra #theovervieweffect
