Dummy Boiz 2008 (ish): the annual pilgrimage to "The Pit" during Canada Day Long Weekend. Multiple days of skating at the Kamloops park. At this time, there wasn't a grey hair in sight and wizard staffs were still a thing.

We often imagined the many ways you may have made your way to us. Perhaps you were the only cattle dog who didn’t find joy in the work and chose an early retirement. Or maybe you got lost on a vacation, as we never could quite picture you as a California girl. Maybe you were deeply loved, but when your owner passed away, you embarked on a journey that led you all the way to us.

In all our imaginings, we never did believe someone would have willingly gave you up. You were the sweetest, most effortless companion, and bringing you into our lives was the easiest decision we ever made. Saying goodbye was the hardest.

You were our dream dog, and not a day went by we didn’t remark on just how good we had it. You never wanted anything more than a place by our side, and having you there was all we ever could have wanted. Pure love, contentment, and companionship. You were our perfect girl and in the end, it almost makes sense that your heart was simply too big.

We can never thank you enough for finding your way to us.

Until we meet again sweet girl ♥️
