POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Today marks one year since my accident. I’ve felt every emotion imaginable throughout this journey, but the biggest one has been gratitude.
From the first responders at @dallasfirestation03 to every single surgeon and nurse who cared for me throughout all 11 surgeries, and especially to my physical therapist @francoibanez13 who dealt with surgery after surgery while trying to get my mobility and strength back- as well as Andrew who worked with me on my right wrist and fingers mobility, and my new PT Ryan who has taken over for Franco and watched our entire process together.

Looks can be deceiving though, as I am still in constant pain, and I imagine that might stick a little. But! This journey has been more positive than negative, and I am a strong believer of being a delusional optimist about life. I definitely chose my hard, and I wouldn’t change anything about it.
Shift your mindset, shift your life.

I am extremely fortunate to have the family and friends that I do. Their support has been unmatched throughout this “new normal” I’ve had to adjust to, over and over again.
Including both of my parents taking time from work to get me to and from appointments, and especially my sister @xay_baybay for coming home to the states to take care of me in my most fragile state. She quite literally did everything for me for nearly 2 months.

To the friendships I lost- thank you as well.
It created more space for those who wanted to show up.

One year since I should’ve died.
2 months since my 11th surgery.
Countless appointments.
I still have quite a ways to go, but I am so thankful for the challenges and the opportunity to live my life.

Here’s to the rest of it! ♥️🧿
