If you’re in Savannah make sure to visit Masako Miki’s “The Garden of Wandering Spirits” at SCAD! The installation creates a space for pause and reflection - much needed in our busy lives. The curator even made a Miki “eye” cake pop! #masakomiki #scad #museum #savannah

I’m delighted and honoured to be part of the forthcoming Contemporary British Painting prize, opening this coming Saturday 19th September at Yorkshire Art Space in Sheffield. CBP is a remarkable organisation, run entirely by volunteers from within its star-studded membership, and it has championed current trends in British Painting for more than a decade. It is an special honour because both longlist and shortlist are judged by a panel of distinguished artists, this year @iainandrewsart @rachel__lancaster @danielhbell_artist @emmatod1 The other artists are: @__andrewbryant__ @gwenevanswork @pippagattystudio @mcj.gibson @caroline_gorickpainting @melguatelli @chrishanlonartist @jinyongparkstudio @bend_laser @katyshepherdart @artbyrobertsherratt @michelleussher @haijiewang99 @katewilsonarts This small piece “Vanity dead-heat” is included in the exhibition, graphite oil and resin on panel, 40 x 30 cm 2025 I can’t wait to see the exhibition…

New acquisition! Another one from #vivianbrowne “Little Men” series. This one is from 1966 and will join our other two. Three may be a crowd when it comes to humans, but three is a great number when it comes to building collections! ______ Thank you @jeffreysartfeed and @ryanleegallery ______ #vivianbrownemykindofprotest

Niu Systems opens June 25 at RYAN LEE Gallery in New York. This carousel gathers fragments from the last several years of working with, learning from, and being in conversation with artists connected to Hawaiʻi: studio visits, performances, panels, exhibitions, research, jokes, land, material, and friendship. The show comes out of these relationships. In Hawaiian, niu is often translated as coconut, but that translation is too small. Niu carries knowledge, genealogy, sustenance, material intelligence, and care. It is not just an object. It is a system of complex relationships. Niu Systems brings together thirteen artists whose work engages land, ʻāina, architecture, ecology, memory, abstraction, social systems, ancestral knowledge, and contemporary life from Hawaiʻi. Opening reception: Thursday, June 25, 6–8 pm

The new NYC @isseymiyakeofficial flagship is so beautifully imagined, it felt like I was shopping inside a contemporary art installation. I’ve never really understood Issey before, but the space designed by @solidobjectives completely changed how I saw the brand. They made minimalism feel emotional, sculptural, and elevated instead of cold. The way the product was displayed alongside the glass, steel and light (and that perfect shade of soft grey) completely transformed my experience. Of course, amorphous fabrics like Issey’s are perfectly paired with shoes that have more structure, @unitednude’s are inspired by architectural design (and they have height!) The environment elevated the pieces, which says everything about the power of great design.

Art. Film. Food. Community. Support for the mission we love. ❤️ BAMPFA’s 2026 Art & Film Benefit was pure magic, honoring the incomparable Alice Waters (@alicelouisewaters) and Stephanie Syjuco (@ssyjuco), with a menu by Alice Waters herself, and a late-night dance floor that no one wanted to leave. A special thanks to our incredible wine sponsors Beaune Imports (@beauneimports), Chez Panisse (@chezpanisse), and Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant (@kermitlynchwine). This is what it looks like when a community shows up for art and film. Thank you. 🔗 Link in bio to learn more. Julie Rodrigues Widholm wears a cobalt blue dress with a black blazer and magenta heels. Alice Waters wears a red dress layered with a floral-patterned scarf, black leggings, and black flats. Stephanie Syjuco wears a sleeveless black-and-white geometric print maxi dress with black shoes, layered silver necklaces, and rectangular black glasses.

Congratulations @masakomiki on a fabulous opening last week!  Masako Miki: Midnight March has traveled to MassArt Art Museum in Boston. On view through May 31, Miki’s solo exhibition is an experiential world populated by semi-abstracted felted wool sculptures set within a galaxy. Referencing nature, Japanese yōkai (supernatural beings), and Shintoism, Miki creates new mythologies that reflect the complexity of multicultural identities and worlds. Miki’s practice is rooted in the belief that art can generate new, inclusive narratives to counter harmful lore. The artist seeks to bridge cultural divides and foster shared understanding. It’s been a busy couple of years since I joined the team at RYAN LEE and Mary Ryan Gallery and now it’s my last day. It’s a warm-hearted place with bright and dedicated people. I’ll miss their devotion to their artists and all the people that make everything possible for these intertwined programs. Thanks to you all. Working directly with contemporary artists and their estates has been my great pleasure. Jeff and Mary built something special and I’ll be cheering for them wherever I work. I am on to a new opportunity, but won’t be far.
