After a long string of follow-ups and wrap-up work, we can finally pause and reflect on our experience at the HKYMA Hong Kong International Close-up Magic Convention.
I have attended countless magic conventions before, always as a participant or performer. This time, however, marks our very first time organising a full three-day magic convention from scratch.
We have run competitions, lectures and various shows in the past, but coordinating a three-day full-scale convention brought a whole new level of pressure, challenges and rewards.
Our sincere gratitude goes to every guest who joined us, all on-site and backstage crew, association committee members, every friend who lent a hand, and every magic enthusiast who came specially to support us.
We recognise there are areas we could have improved, and we faced numerous hurdles along the way.
What made this truly special was that everyone involved showed up with genuine passion and love for magic. It brought back that electrifying atmosphere I felt back in the Magic Contest days.
For us, this was far more than just an event — it was a valuable learning and growth journey.
The experience we have gained will fuel our improvements moving forward.
We will keep striving to contribute to magic in Hong Kong, and we hope to keep delivering high-quality magic events to pass on this passion for magic 🃏.

Eating BUGS in China?! 🐛
@jeffreywangmagic and I stumbled upon a food stall selling stir-fried bugs in Nanning, China. Most Chinese people have never tried them, but we were just too curious to not take a bite. Protein, right? 💪 Would you try eating bugs? #china #exoticfood #travel #foodchallenge
