𝗟𝗧𝗣𝗥+ 𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧: There are career moments that mark the beginning of a new chapter. For Chef Rhoda Magbitang @rockyrhodakill , this year’s James Beard Awards @beardfoundation weekend was one of them. Just weeks after her Bravo Top Chef @bravotopchef victory, Rhoda stepped into a whirlwind week of industry events, media opportunities, rehearsals, celebrations, and one unforgettable evening walking the red carpet and presenting at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards. Behind the scenes, our team had the privilege of helping bring it all together. From managing a week of logistics, schedules, and appearances to coordinating with partners, supporting media, and ensuring every detail allowed Rhoda to simply be present for the moments she’d worked so hard to achieve. Throughout the weekend, LTPR+ Founder Taylor Richardson @styledbyleightaylor was on-site supporting Rhoda as her talent manager, publicist, and wardrobe stylist while also capturing behind-the-scenes content to document the milestone. Taylor curated looks for both Rhoda and fellow Top Chef contestant Duyen Ha @chefduyenha using pieces from the LTPR+ Showroom and our incredible brand clients, including Mrs Momma Bear @mrsmommabearofficial , for each of their appearances throughout the week. The best talent management often happens behind the scenes. It’s anticipating needs before they arise, protecting space for your client to shine, and making sure every opportunity builds toward something even greater. Watching Rhoda take the stage at one of the culinary industry’s most celebrated weekends was an honor. We’re incredibly proud of everything she’s accomplished, and we’re excited for what’s ahead!! #LTPRPlus #LeighTaylorPublicRelations #JamesBeardAwards #TalentManagement #TopChef

It’s been a minute but: HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to all the nominees and winners of this year’s James Beard Awards across Restaurant & Chef, Media and Impact. Such a joyful and life-affirming gathering of our industry – everyone coming together in solidarity and celebration.  As the @ft_weekend put it: “the Awards are an attempt, however imperfect, to take a single annual portrait of American food”  and central to that portrait is the invaluable contribution of immigrant communities that was honored throughout the weekend.   Hats off to our fabulous hosts: @gailsimmonseats, @siouxchef and @chefaz, and red carpet correspondents @niloumotamed and @gg30000   Thank you to our gracious host @choosechicago and partners @illinoisrestaurants for hosting us for our 11th year in beautiful Chicago. It was wonderful to have @jbpritzker and @chicagosmayor join us and underscore how valuable the restaurant community is to our culture and society.   Thank you to all the committees the hundreds of judges across the country whose work ensures such a robust and expansive program, led by the fearless @maisiepadmore Thank you to our new partners @americanexpress @resy - we’re so excited to work with you.   Thank you to the entire team @beardfoundation for your phenomenal work year round. 📸 @hugegaldones @mflatowphoto @jeffschear @eliesajohnson Thanks as ever to @bowenandcompany 🙏🏻

The 2026 James Beard Awards are always hotly anticipated across the industry, but this year The Local Palate was possibly even more invested because of the number of Southern chefs, restaurants, and beverage professionals in national categories, from Outstanding Restaurant (Nashville’s @the_catbirdseat and @Mixtlicloud in San Antonio) to Best New Restaurant (@Mercichs in Charleston) to Outstanding Hospitality (@ariaatlanta and @Bottegabham in Birmingham). But competition was fierce, and awards in those categories went to other regions of the country. Still, the South was strongly represented, with @chefAdrianTorres of @vvivaMaximohouston (West University Place, Texas) kicking off the awards as Emerging Chef with a moving acceptance speech about his Latinx community and his Mexican immigrant parents. “Today, standing on this stage, I want to say something that I never thought my younger self would say: I am proud to be the son of immigrants. Tonight I refuse to let fear be the headline.” He then expressed his thanks in Spanish to those who had provided support along the way. Continue celebrating all @beardfoundation nominees and winners from the South and beyond at the link in bio.

Last weekend was one for the books! We are so thrilled for Yoko Nakazawa (@cookingwithkoji), who took out the Single Subject book category at the 2026 James Beard Awards for her beautiful debut cookbook, The Japanese Art of Pickling & Fermenting. Congratulations are also due for @michellemackintosh, whose beautiful design – brought to life with her watercolours, Yoko’s line drawings, @meryl_batlle’s styling and @rochelleeagle’s photography – was also nominated in the Visuals category. And of course the rest of the powerhouse team who worked on this one: published by Lucy Heaver (@lucyloo4), copyedited by @martine_lleonart, proofread by Pam Dunne, indexed by Max McMaster, prepress by Megan Ellis (@meganjane1212) and production by Aisling Coughlan (@ais18). Thankyou @beardfoundation! (Slides 2 and 3 by Jeff Schear/Getty Images for the James Beard Foundation)
