When my child, Pip, was in daycare, I worked two jobs and still wasn't sure we'd make it work. That's not a talking point for me. It's lived experience.

Here's what's happening in Tennessee right now: families need $183K a year to afford daycare. Infant care costs more than in-state college tuition. And right here in Senate District 17, Wilson and Davidson County families face some of the highest childcare costs in the state, on top of a daycare shortage in Nashville that keeps getting worse.

Tennessee Democrats have specific legislation to expand access and get more workers into the field. If elected, I will fight for parents in Wilson and Davidson Counties to have real, affordable options for their kids. This is what I mean when I say we legislate from lived experience. I have lived this, and I want to help FIX this childcare crisis.

Follow along, and if you're ready to help get this done, we would love to have you as a campaign volunteer.

Sen. JEFF YARBRO fights for the rights and freedom of every Tennessean as well as strengthening our fragile democracy. He works to make government work better for Tennessee families and has been a leading voice against Republican overreach and culture wars. He has no opponent in November, so he'll back in the Senate in January.

TN!! Y’all get out and vote if you haven’t yet. You know I voted blue down the line, but there are truly some fantastic candidates. And if you are out in Putnam county, lots of great young Dems running for a variety of offices. Have your voice counted no manner who you vote for. And you get a cool sticker! @aftynbehn @jeffyarbro @ryandaltonforcountymayor @votesamraper and so many more. Thanks for running and inspiring others.

I am still SO proud to have the endorsements of a majority of my Democratic colleagues in both the TN State Senate and State House.

They can rig a map but they can’t rig a movement!

Senator Oliver, Senator Yarbro, Senator Kyle, Senator Campbell , thank you! Together we will work to unite the people and the voters of TN around a new vision for our state — one that puts people before profit, working families before billionaires.

“It’s an insult to the intelligence of the people in this state.”

@jeffyarbro shreds the lie🤥from Sen. Stevens & TN Republicans race wasn’t used to make the map, puts it in (racist) historical context, and says they couldn’t racially gerrymander it any better. #Memphis #JimCrow @tnsenatedems
