#KevinDurant, the 12X All-Star, 2X NBA Champion and 2X NBA Finals MVP, visited BroSis this morning to celebrate the grand opening of our beautiful rooftop basketball court, which was endowed by his Kevin Durant Charity Foundation as part of their #BuildItAndTheyWillBall initiative. The court was designed by youth members of #BroSis and our architects from Urban Architectural Initiatives. BroSis Executive Director @klwsees took Durant on a tour of the new BroSis building, and they were joined by @richkleiman, the co-founder of @35ventures, who is also a childhood friend of Khary's. Jose Mena, Director of the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation, also attended. They toured BroSis' new state-of-the-art 22,000-square-foot facility and shot some hoops with our youth members, alumni, and staff. We are grateful to the #KDCF for their generous support and partnership! 📸: @jemaray

Last weekend, I had the honor of being the Supervising Producer for the @afropunk Brooklyn Livestream Production ✊🏾 I got to put together a team of 20+ amazing camera opps, producers and TDs (many of these being some of my closest friends & frequent Redhouse collaborators) to capture over 20 performances and live interview content that would be streamed over Twitch for 2.8 million + unique live viewers! We’re excited to share, @syracuseu Alum, Tiffanee Thompson (@bytiffanee), will be leading the direction for our gallery as our Art Program Manager at The Communion ! 🙌🏿✨

Tiffanee is a writer, independent curator, and the Co-Executive Director of The BxArts Factory who enjoys learning about the artist’s journey for every piece. @bxartsfactory is a non-profit based in the Bronx, New York dedicated to supporting local artists and their works. It functions to promote accessibility to the art community as well as to use art as a medium to address social and economic inequities. Her leadership as the curator for the exhibition at Studio 13 Gallery ‘The Fight for Freedom and Justice’ by photographer @jemaray is just an example of what we are looking forward to from her at The Communion.✊🏿

Her love for art developed through her international travels 🌏✈️ and diverse cultural experience living in New York City and as Ambassdor for @WhitneyMuseum of American Art. Tiffanee is excited to contribute to the city of Syracuse and all it has to offer. She currently resides in Charlotte, NC, and is pursuing her MBA at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill as a Fortè Fellow.
