JEM Dance recital 2026! Jonas danced in both shows to Bibbidi Bobbibi Boo and Ready For My Show. Bowie danced in the opening number, Ballet Production (Phantom of the Opera), King of New York (my favorite for literally ever I am begging them to compete it), and You Can’t Stop the Beat! Mad love to Miss Jennifer, Miss Lara, and Miss Lauren!!

A huge thank you to JEM Dance (@jemdanceaz ) for donating their studio space!! We are so thankful to Jennifer Roberts and Lara Adams!! Our hearts are so full. Thank you. ❤️

In 1958 Jeanne Wright started “Jeanne’s school of Dance “ . An enterprise that once included five studios and two youth ballet companies. It served thousands of students over fifty years. JEM stands for “ Jeanne’s East Mesa “ and we are so proud to be the only living legacy to what she built ! She once said “ I started the studio, not only to create strong dancers , but more importantly to create strong individuals “, and we stand by this ♥️

December part 1!! We wait all year for December and she never disappoints. So many fun things packed all into one month! Some highlights- meeting Santa over and over and over, Christmas breakfast every morning, Christmas cookies every night, both kids danced at the senior center and then had Christmas dance recitals, Bowie had her music theatre recital and a Christmas princess camp recital, bake class with ginger the elf, the polar express on Main Street, Zoolights, driving around every night to see Christmas lights, temple lights, snow in downtown Mesa, ice skating, bake class with the grinch, train rides around the park, everything at Trader Joe’s, Stevie’s first Christmas, did I mention Christmas cookies?

Another year of dance in the books! There were a lot of trials and speed bumps with dance this year but Bowie stuck it out and saw it through to the end. I love the shows and the dances and the costumes, but the friendships are what truly matter. I met some of my favorite life long friends in the same classroom she’s in now, and I’m so stoked to see her doing the same thing! Shout out to Miss Jennifer for everything, forever.
